The Unique Way You Handle Boredom, According To Your Zodiac Sign

getty For some people, boredom is absolutely the worst and they’ll do almost anything to not to have to suffer through it. We all have our go-to methods we use for boredom therapy.
Some zodiac signs work at avoiding boredom to the best of their abilities. They keep their schedules full and they’re always busy doing something, even asking their horoscope for some guidance, but those who work to keep boredom at bay still get bored from time to time.
But astrology can give us some insight into how the zodiac signs combat their boredom. Making the best out of a boring situation is a talent that some people have and one other people strive to acquire. How do you use boredom as a way to stimulate your creativity or growth?
Boredom is part of life, whether we like it or not. But even in the most boring of circumstances, you can make the choice not to feel that way. If you’re in class and have a boring instructor, try to find something about what they’re saying that’s interesting, or look at them as if they were a character in a story and create their backstory.
One thing about being bored is that it can actually be good; it can help you to take a moment to calm down and relax. For some, it can be conducive to being in a meditative state. If your mind is clear, all those ideas and thoughts in your head have space to come together and clarify.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Boredom is death but even more boring for Aries, so they do what they can to avoid it. That means they always have a million things going on at once. The good thing is that they enjoy multi-tasking and having a lot on their plate because they love the feeling of accomplishment.
If worse comes to worse and they get bored and have nothing to do, they'll give their whole house a good cleaning. Once Aries makes up their mind to do something, even if it's to stop being bored, they do it.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus have a pretty high threshold for boredom because they usually find ways to entertain themselves. It doesn't have to be something major to capture their interest, it could be watching Netflix, arranging flowers, reading a good book, or listening to music.
They are sensual and like to have their senses stimulated, but they don't a lot in terms of being entertained. Taurus tend to be entertaining enough unto themselves.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
One thing Geminis can't stand is boring people. When a Gemini gets bored in a conversation, they'll become even more talkative and outgoing. They'll try to pry something of interest out of the person who is boring them.
Unfortunately, a bored Gemini can sometimes become anxious, fidgety, and can act bizarrely for attention. The best thing that Gemini can do when they're bored is to seek out friends and family who will help to entertain them.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers tend to be very focused on their emotions and the needs of others, which does keep them busy. They rarely have time for themselves, but instead of turning a boring moment into a moment of self-care, Cancers will look for something that they can do for someone else.
If they're still bored, they will look for something like a hike or tennis game that they can do with a partner. Shared activities help Cancers to escape their boredom.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos aren't fans of being bored, so when it happens they make do with whatever they can to stop it. They love to go shopping and buy presents, or go to the movies and have lunch, or maybe hit an open mic and do some kind of performing, which is good because they love being the center of attention.
Leos don't like feeling stuck or stagnant and will always be on the lookout for adventure, entertainment, and excitement to add to their lives.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos have the ability to discover useful ways out of their boredom, due in part to their big brains and love of learning. They may become bored by certain people or activities, but they aren't usually bored when they're at home by themselves — they always find interesting things to do when they're home.
Virgos are very creative, so they might compose some music, write a story, or just do research on the place they grew up, dog-sledding, or even on their genealogy. It's not hard for Virgo to find something to get interested in, and when they do, they get excited that there's a whole new subject to learn about.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
When Libras get bored, they catch up on their social media: they take selfies to post on Instagram or use fun filters on Snapchat. They may tweet funny things on Twitter or just update all their pages. Doing these things helps them to be mentally stimulated and creative, and helps to take steps towards their goals, no matter what they are.
Once done with all that, Libra may do something random and send all their friends postcards or make a vision board. They like to feel as if they're moving forward towards their career and sometimes they need to be bored in order to get back on track.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios will definitely get bored if they don't have lots of stimulation and things to focus on. They can't stand doing the same things repeatedly and like to mix things up. They need to find new activities and projects in order to keep themselves entertained.
A good way for them to stop being bored is to do something that involves physical activity, like sex. Scorpios are extremely sexual and very experimental so it's very rare that they'd find any kind of intimate thing boring.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians absolutely detest being bored — it practically sucks the life out of them! If they even feel as if they're on the edge of being bored, they'll do something to change things up. They love to try new things, so if they can't go on a trip somewhere, they might go to a neighborhood or town that they've never visited before and explore it.
They enjoy their own company, but they prefer to have their adventures with a loved one or dear friend. Sagittarius is the kind of friend that will spontaneously invite you out but not tell you where you're going. You could end up being at a bar crawl or having a spa day — you never know with a Sagittarius.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are so hardworking that they can get bored when they have nothing to do. They will try to find a way to be interested in the little things such as a gorgeous sunset, or the perfectly prepared croissant.
It's very difficult for a Capricorn to unwind and relax, so when they've finished one project, they'll likely start a new one before they've even had time to decompress. Sometimes when they get bored, they can get a little silly and playful; it can be a nice change from the reliable and dependable Capricorn we all know and love.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians can become bored if their work doesn't push them to grow and expand their mind. When they get bored, they tend to get a little cranky and can take it out on the people around them. They'll be contrary just to stir up some controversy. They'll make trouble for themselves just for the fun of it.
The best thing Aquarius can do to stop being bored is to go off by themselves, preferably in nature where they can hear themselves think. Actually, even a walk around the block is good for them, so long as they're moving and alone. Once their brain is stimulated again, it's okay for them to go back and be with people.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
When Pisces are feeling bored, they go to the carnival that is their inner mind. They have a rich fantasy life and when they get lost in their imagination, not only aren't they ever bored, it stimulates their creativity. Pisces can daydream for hours if they're so inclined.
However, at some point, they need to express their ideas, so in whatever way they can, they'll create something of meaning and beauty. They often use art to express themselves, but a Pisces can be creative in other ways such as table settings, gift-wrapping, or even putting together the perfect playlist for a loved one.
