getty Too often, the word stable is equated with the words boring, predictable, and unexciting. We’d much rather be described as someone who is fascinating, unpredictable, and surprising!
But being one of the emotionally stable zodiac signs is a good thing, and it’s much better to have a stable person who is trustworthy, reliable, and calm in your life than someone who is described as otherwise. And since so much of our personalities are determined by astrology, it’s not surprising that those stable personalities tend to be the same sign.
One of the major components of being stable is being able to control your emotions; you don’t lose control, but you also are able to express them in a healthy and rational way. If you are constantly expressing your emotions in a dramatic way, you’re in danger of being overly expressive which can make those around you feel uncomfortable.
Stable people balance their emotions in a healthy and constructive way so they're able to process them and still be there for others. We tend to lean on stable people; they are our rocks and we feel lost without them. In fact, if it weren't for the stable people and the solid foundations they create, we’d live in a world of constant chaos.
In the end, while stable people may not be as exciting as those who are forever on edge and spontaneous, we desperately need them in our lives.
1. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are very stable and still manage to be completely engaging, funny, and quirky. They tend to pick and choose their friends wisely. They don't just decide someone is their friend and then suddenly they're best friends for life.
They want to be sure because once a Capricorn is your friend, they're going to do whatever they can to be a great friend and will stick by you through good times and bad. This is how Capricorns are with all their relationships — they'll be your rock once they've made sure you're worthy of their love.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You can always depend on a Virgo to be there and give you support when you need it. They truly believe that being there and giving whatever they can to help their friends and family is their responsibility.
You can rely on a Virgo to do what they say they're going to do and to come through for you. Virgos will ask for help when they need it, so they feel compelled to be there for others.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus will say "no" if they need to and won't agree to things just so they'll be liked. They're honest and won't say "yes" if they can't or don't want to do something.
They are good at setting healthy boundaries so that resentments don't build. They don't want people to walk all over them, but they still make it a priority to help people and support them when it makes sense for them to do so.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos know that they're ultimately responsible for how successful their lives are and for their own happiness. They don't play the blame game — they know if their life isn't working out, they are the ones who need to make some changes and create new goals.
They're strong and brave and will fight for those who can't fight for themselves. Leos aren't flaky; they're straightforward, loyal, and are one of the more grounded signs.
5. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios tend to put their focus on the things that they can control, sometimes to excess, but they're not going to waste any energy on things they have no way of controlling. They choose to put their attention on the things they can do something about, which is good as they usually are very good at fixing things. If it's clear that no matter what they do, something won't going to be fixed, Scorpio isn't going to obsess over it.
