Who Is Paul Manafort's Wife? New Details About Kathleen Manafort
They've been married for 40 years.
On Tuesday, Paul Manafort was found guilty on eight financial charges in the special counsel’s investigation into President Trump’s associates. The charges include five counts of filing false tax returns, failing to report foreign bank accounts, and bank fraud. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on foreign bank account charges, and remaining bank fraud and conspiracy counts.
If you remember, Manafort was Trump’s former campaign chairman but just like everyone else recently who associates with the president, they seemingly tend to go down in flames. Such is the case for Manafort, but we can’t help but wonder about his personal life.
Criminals often have a pretty normal family life, so who is Paul Manafort’s wife? Here are 6 things to know about Kathleen Manafort and their relationship.
1. They’ve been together decades.
The couple has been married since 1978. That’s 40 years of wedded bliss!
2. She’s a lawyer.
Kathleen graduated from George Washington University in 1979 and Georgetown University in 1988. She’s a practicing lawyer in Virginia and was admitted to the bar for Washington D.C. as well.
3. They have two children.
The couple has two daughters, Jessica and Andrea. Jessica is a writer and director in Hollywood, while Andrea is a lawyer, taking after her mom.
Jessica attended Tisch Film School and founded Mirror Cube Films in 2004, creating three films: Remember the Daze, Liminality, and A Shore Thing. In a profile on Jessica in Nylon Magazine, they said that she “has a playful, whimsical manner, speaks charmingly about her close relationships with her family and friends, and laughs frequently and contagiously.”
Andrea, on the other hand, took a different life path and is an associate general counsel in Washington, DC. She received her law degree from Georgetown, and worked previously for multiple law firms.
4. They are millionaires.

The couple owns millions of dollars in real estate, a fact that's been used against him during trial. According to the Daily Mail, the Manaforts “owned a Hamptons getaway worth many millions, and recently sold their longtime Mount Vernon, Virginia home where they had raised their two daughters.”
But that’s not all.
The New York Times reported that the couple has $20 million worth of mortgages with properties, raising questions about whether they used shell companies or transferred properties and taking out mortgages.
“Investigators have identified at least four high-end properties belonging to Mr. Manafort subject to forfeiture if he’s found guilty, including a brownstone in Brooklyn, a SoHo condo, a lavish estate in the Hamptons and a 1920s single-family home in Arlington, Virginia,” reported Mansion Global. “Manafort — who was placed under house arrest — stashed millions in accounts in Cyprus, Saint Vincent and the Seychelles to buy the properties. Manafort used his hidden overseas wealth to enjoy a lavish lifestyle in the United States, without paying taxes on that income.”
And according to Bloomberg, “15 years ago, when Trump was still running casinos, Manafort’s wife, Kathleen, received a mortgage on a 10-bedroom home in the Hamptons on Long Island. The $150,000 loan was made by NorCrown Bank, in Livingston, New Jersey, whose chairman was (Jared) Kushner’s father, Charles, the patriarch of the family real estate empire and, at the time, a Democratic powerbroker in New Jersey. Kathleen Manafort purchased a vacant lot in 1992 for $400,000, according to the Southampton assessor’s office. A house was built a few years later. After several additions, it now has 5,574 square feet of living space, a tennis court, pool, pool house and pitch-and-putt golf hole, according to the assessor’s office, which values it at $5.6 million.”
5. Their home was raided while the couple was in bed.

When the FBI searched their home in Alexandria, Virginia, Kathleen was even searched for weapons. According to CNN, “FBI agents entered with guns drawn and insisted on searching Kathleen Manafort for weapons, a standard part of FBI searches but a jarring event for the Manaforts.”
6. She’s supported her husband through his trial.
She’s appeared at his various court hearings. And in July, she was seen in the front row of the courtroom during a hearing. Politico reported, “As he exited the chamber, the defendant briefly smiled at his wife, Kathleen Manafort, who was seated in the court room’s front row and shook hands with his lawyers.”
