Jeffree Star loves to stay busy and he's been up to a lot lately.

The 32-year-old YouTuber and beauty influencer loves the spotlight and is known for his expensive taste, luxurious life, and his makeup tutorials. Star owns his own cosmetics line that began as a lipstick line but has branched out to include many other products including highlighter, eyeshadow palettes, and clothing.

He began his career as an icon back in the days of MySpace and evolved with the times, eventually making his way to YouTube and Instagram.

Star has continued growing his fame in the beauty world but also ventured into the business world. He owns at least 10 other businesses unrelated to makeup, including a marijuana business and home building company.

He doesn't shy away from controversy; in fact, he revels in it. Over the years he has continuously involved himself in many feuds and controversial debates and is known to say whatever the heck he wants. But where is Star now?

Here's how the makeup mogul has been spending his time in recent months.

1. He's been running from the paparazzi.

As much as he loves to be the center of attention, Star was obviously over it when the paparazzi bombarded him after TanaCon in June.

One onlooker caught him jumping over railings and climbing up a parking garage to escape the cameras and questions.

2. He launched a new YouTube series with Shane Dawson.

Star and Dawson have been working on a five-part YouTube series where Dawson transforms into Star. Dawson has done this type of video before with his BFF Trisha Paytas, another popular YouTuber but this series takes it to a new level.

"The Secret World of Jeffree Star" allows viewers to get an idea of what Star's everyday life is like and, of course, who he is.

Two out of the five episodes have been released. Part 1, which focuses on Star's wealth, premiered Wednesday and Part 2, which shows a day in the life of Jeffree Star and features Dawson "becoming" Star, on Thursday.

Filipino YouTuber Michelle Dy created a channel called "MD Approved" and Star is not having it. Star has a series titled "Jeffree Star Approved" and is claiming that Dy stole his trademark.

According to Hollywood Life, Star said he trademarked the "Approved" title and accused Dy of "stealing" it.

“You’re full of complete s***,” he commented on her page. “Stealing my 'Approved' series and trademarked title is pathetic…but that’s what boring unoriginal people do. My lawyer will reach out to you shortly. 'Jeffree Star Approved' is copyrighted in America.”

Dy addressed Star's outburst and apologized for copying his trademark, which is actually not on the list of trademarks in America.

“I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to Jeffree Star if in any way or another, I may have violated your rights from the use of your trademark,” she wrote. “Videos from my channel have been deleted already and rest-assured that it will not happen again. Again, I am sorry.”

4. He was recently under fire for racist comments he made in old videos.

Star was called out by Viceland's Desus & Mero hosts for using racial slurs in years-old videos.

The hosts,  Desus and Mero, nicknamed him Jeffree Racist Star and outed his previous offensive comments in a 2017 episode of the show.

Kim Kardashian rushed to Star's defense, calling his haters "petty" for hating him based on his past. The KUWTK star later retracted her comments when she learned about why he was receiving such hate.

“So I really wanted to apologize to you guys and my fans for defending a situation yesterday that I really didn’t know enough about. I just feel a bit naïve, and I do want to really apologize for me feeling like I had the right to say ‘get over it’ in a situation that involves racism,” she shared on Snapchat.

An embarrassed Star issued an apology for the racist remarks and said he has changed.

"In these videos, I say some disgusting, nasty and embarrassing things," he admitted. "The past can never be erased. I see [those videos] resurfaced and it makes me sick to my stomach because I don't know who that person was; The person that said those horrible, vile things- that person was depressed, that person was just angry at the world, that person felt like they were not accepted, that person was seeking attention."

5. People have speculated that his boyfriend is using him for the money.

Star's other half, Nathan Schwandt, has been the topic of a recent controversy regarding his sexual orientation.

In an interview with Paper Magazine, Star explained that Schwardt had never been with a man before him. In a series of videos, the two go into their relationship, telling their viewers the story of how they met and giving them an insight into their love life.

Schwardt even admitted that he strictly dated women before he met Star.

The fact that Star was Schwandt's first boyfriend had fans wondering if he was only with Star for the money but Star quickly shot down that idea in one of his videos where he and Schwardt answer questions from fans.

“What’s really cool about Nathan is that he doesn’t need a label. I know everyone wants to label him," he said. "He’s only been with women his entire life until meeting me, and I think that doesn’t make someone bisexual, that doesn’t make someone anything. I think it just makes Nathan, Nathan. Gender is irrelevant, and if you love somebody, you love somebody.”

Another reason their relationship is most likely genuine is that the two were dating before Star was a huge personality and Schwandt actually encouraged him to start a YouTube channel.

6. He had a falling out with his BFF Manny MUA.

Star and Manny used to be best buddies not too long ago, collaborating on videos and defending each other against haters. Now, it's quite the opposite. The two seem out to get one another and recently had a big blow out that may have been started by Star's boyfriend.

In April, Manny posted a now-deleted update on Twitter about Nathan and all hell broke loose between the former friends, Revelist reports.

"When your [sic] casually scrolling on tumblr and see an old friends nudes," reportedly referring to Schwardt.

Star took this tweet as an opportunity to clap back. "isn't life a drag? never a dull moment on the internet! he says hi!" he wrote.

But what really had fans convinced the dynamic duo's friendship was overcame when Star leaked Manny's new eyeshadow palette name.

"LIFE'S A DRAG. Just kidding... it's actually beautiful and we can create our own destiny. Believe in yourself and don't let anyone stand in your way," he added, apparently leaking the name of his ex-BFF's new palette two months before it launched.
