A recent episode of America's Got Talent features an amazing new acrobatic pair called Duo Transcend, and the two performers who make them up are Mary Ellen Wolfe and Tyce Nielsen. 

Mary and Tyce, who hail from Salt Lake City, specialize in trapeze and various acrobatic performance styles.

Obviously, in order to do these kinds of acrobatics, you need to be talented, but also in killer shape. AGT judge Heidi Klum even comments on Tyce's impeccable muscles in the clip — though Mary is no slouch in the athletic department either!

1. They are married.

While Mary is known professionally as Mary Ellen Wolfe, she and Tyce Nielsen are actually married. The married acrobatic duo hails from Salt Lake City, Utah.

They also have a 2-year-old son, which Mary acknowledges in the AGT preview has been hard on the family when the couple is traveling so much for their work.


2. Their credits include work with Cirque du Soleil and the Sundance Film Festival.

According to the duo's professional website, their acrobatic work had led them to perform in a variety of live entertainment shows, most notably for the world-famous Cirque du Soleil and the Sundance Film Festival.

Duo Transcend performed for Cirque du Soleil back in 2017 for the Reflekt show. The Sundance Film Festival is one of the biggest film festivals in the world, drawing major Hollywood stars to Utah every year.

Their Sundance appearance was for a special event in 2013.

3. Mary has a theater background.

Prior to her current work in acrobatics, Mary was an actress, singer, and dancer back in her home state of West Virginia.

Her stage work included lead roles in many famous shows. She has played Maria in West Side Story, the title role of Annie in Annie, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. According to their website, Mary is still working as an actress and singer today. 


4. Tyce's father was also an acrobat. 

For Tyce, his line of work actually runs in the family.

His father was an acrobat, and in addition to that, worked as a magician. This may have been what inspired Tyce to pursue a performance career himself.

The adorable couple also loves to incorporate their son in the acrobatic fun too with their Instagram posts. Perhaps someday he'll join the family business as well.


5. Their act includes roller skates.

The pair's demo reel shows their trapeze and acrobatic talents in full-action. Something that stands out is that the two of them perform together in roller skates, with Mary's legs wrapped around Tyce as he moves quickly around in circles!
