14 Awkward Details About Khloe Kardashian And Tristan Thompson's Relationship
Are Khloe & Tristan all what they seem?
If you haven’t been keeping up with the Kardashians, you might not know about Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson and how they are officially a thing. They met in 2016 through a mutual friend, fell in love and now they are in a serious, live-in relationship with a baby on the way any day now. (It's a girl!) He’s a Canadian professional basketball star who lives in Ohio, she’s a reality TV star, model, designer and entrepreneur. He’s got one child already, with their upcoming addition his number two, but it's the first child for Khloe. They are clearly blissfully happy in love and we're so happy for them. But unless you're a Khloe Kardashian or Tristan Thompson superfan, here are 11 cringe-y details about their relationship you might not know yet:
1. Their first date, which was a blind date, was crowded.
They were introduced by basketball player Brandon Jennings, but Khloe didn’t really want to go on a blind date by herself so Brandon and some other folks came along too. Seems like that could be awkward. If three’s a crowd, what’s that?
2. They're very mushy on Instagram.
Clearly the parents-to-be are in love and Khloe definitely wants the whole world to know it. She loves to declare her undying love for her man and there is no mistaking how she feels. Shout it from the rooftops, girl!
3. They love to play dress up.
They take couples costumes VERY seriously. They wore Game of Thrones inspired costumes that they clearly put a lot of effort into. Another year they were superheroes. Given Khloe’s sense of style this should surprise exactly...no one.
4. They wear matching outfits.
You expect that celebrities who put a lot of thought into their wardrobe (which is both of them) to at least not clash with each other in photographs but Khloe and Tristan are all about the matchy-matchy. They’ve been spotted wearing matching tracksuits and even matching camouflage. Too far? Nah; we think it's actually kinda cute.
5. They're hardcore into PDA.
They are definitely into PDA. Like a lot. So many smoochy pictures. They are all over each other and don’t care who is watching. Young love, so much passion and excitement!
6. His basketball fans think she’s cursed.
When the Cleveland Cavaliers star did poorly on the basketball court, his fans complained about the Kardashian curse in a series of mean tweets directed at Khloe and her baby bump. It’s awkward to have a visit to your man’s job turn into a social media disaster. She just wants to cheer on her boo and she can’t even do that without a big scene.

7. They are reportedly planning a TV spinoff.
They’re having a baby and Keeping Up With The Kardashians is having an offshoot of its own, according to HollywoodLife. She had one with her ex, Lamar Odom, too — who curiously was also an NBA basketball player before his drug addiction got in the way.
8. We’ve seen A LOT of them.
Khloe shared an intimate photo shoot on Instagram of them together in bed while she posed in her lingerie. We think she looks gorgeous, but some commenters felt it was a little too racy for a maternity shoot. To each their own, right?
9. Kris didn’t approve of Tristan at first.
If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. The matriarch of the Kardashians was unimpressed when Khloe brought Tristan to a Kanye West concert. The confrontation went down on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Awkward. Good thing she seems really happy about them being together now.
10. Tristan's ex wasn’t exactly stoked, either.
While she later posted a photo with the caption “Less bitter, more glitter”, Tristan’s baby mama Jordan Craig was reportedly unhappy with the pairing initially. She reportedly complained he wasn’t more involved in his son’s life and seemed to be overtaken by his new romance at the expense of his parenting. Apparently she's over it now, so that's good.
11. Khloe's baby shower was sponsored by Amazon.
They sure know how to monetize their life together. A shot from their baby shower was tagged as an ad for e-commerce giant Amazon. Guests signed children’s books instead of a guestbook and are said to have left with Amazon Echo party favors.
12. Even their pregnancy announcement was branded.
Their pregnancy announcement was prominently branded Calvin Klein. Then — oh my goodness! — the whole family is being featured in a Calvin Klein ad. It’s all so unexpected! (That's sarcasm.) Congrats on landing such a big campaign are definitely in order, but branded pregnancy announcements are a little unorthodox.
13. He loves to send her over-the-top flower arrangements.
Khloe just loved her dog Gabbana (yes, like Dolce and Gabbana) and was devastated about losing her. Tristan sent Khloe a paw-shaped floral arrangement when Gabbana passed away. It looked a bit odd and non-traditional, but she really loved it.
14. Her lack of recent selfies prompted baby delivery rumors.
She posted a selfie on Easter but it was speculated that it was an old photo. She also skipped her family Easter party so people naturally thought they were already parents and keeping it on the hush. She has been quoted as saying they plan to keep the birth quiet for a bit for privacy sake, but no baby yet. Any time now, though! She’s apparently “bored AF” waiting and just today posted on Instagram wishing the baby a speedy arrival.
Whether you’re a Kardashian fan or not, we can all agree their baby is going to be one beautiful little girl. We still don’t know what they will name her — knowing the Kardashians it'll be something original — but we do know what’s in her hospital bag. After 11 years of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, these two love birds are going to have a Thompson to keep up with, arriving any day now and we wish them the best of luck.
