Who Is Brad Pitt’s Secret New Girlfriend? New Details About The Gorgeous MIT Professor He's Been Seeing
Hint hint — she's not Jennifer Aniston.
Getty Images / Material Ecology Newly single Brad Pitt seems to be spending a lot of time with an impressive MIT professor — who has both brains and beauty.
Sources say Brad, 54, and Neri Oxman, 42, are not dating but are connecting through their love of architecture.
“Brad and Neri instantly hit it off because they share the same passion for architecture, design and art,” a source told Page Six. “This is best described as a professional friendship.”
The insider made sure to emphasize their relationship is strictly professional but hinted that it may evolve into something else.

“Their friendship has not turned into romance,” the source added, “as both are cautious and this is, again, more of a professional friendship, but Brad is very interested in spending more time with Neri, she is fascinating.”
Neri has quite an impressive assortment of accomplishments, it’s no mystery as to why she caught Brad’s eye.
According to her website, Neri coined the term “Material Ecology,” and “founded and directs the Mediated Matter research group. Her team conducts research at the intersection of computational design, digital fabrication, materials science and synthetic biology, and applies that knowledge to design across disciplines, media and scales—from the microscale to the building scale.”
Neri, who somewhat resemble Angelina Jolie, also has a Ph.D. in design computation from MIT.
"Oxman’s goal is to enhance the relationship between built, natural, and biological environments by employing design principles inspired and engineered by Nature, and implementing them in the invention of novel design technologies,” her website reads. “Areas of application include architectural design, product design, fashion design, as well as the design of new technologies for digital fabrication and construction."
MoMA senior curator for architecture and design Paola Antonelli called her “a person ahead of her time, not of her time,” in a 2016 Surface Magazine article about Brad’s alleged girlfriend.
“She is very rigorous, taking on a long view on where design needs to be, but at the same time also has an incredible talent and aesthetic flare, like an artist,” Antonelli continued. “Whatever she does has ground and credibility in science, but also a universal appeal for everybody, because her work is just so beautiful.”
The father of six has expressed his interest in architecture and design over the years and even took up sculpting. Page Six reports that he met Neri when he was referred to her for advice on an architectural project he was working on.
He also founded the Make It Right Foundation, which helps build homes for those in need using environmentally friendly development.
“When you realize that 40 or 45 percent of the world’s pollution comes from the way we build and maintain our buildings,” Brad told Architectural Digest in 2016. “It’s just common sense to think that there’s a better solution.”
Brad’s rep declined to comment on the romance rumors but a friend of Brad’s reassured the outlet they were simply friends.
"You are correct that they are just friends and she is very impressive,” the friend said.
If he is trying to make a move on the accomplished architect he may have some competition. A source confirmed to Page Six that Neri has been dating billionaire investor Bill Ackman for about seven months.

Ackman, 51, recently divorced his wife of 25 years and Brad is recently divorced from Angelina Jolie. The A-list actor is reportedly casually dating here and there but is not getting involved in anything serious.
"He has been on a few dates but nothing serious,” an insider told E! News. “It's complicated for him to date and not a huge priority in his life."
Rumors have been circulating that Angelina is getting back in the dating game as well. One source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight reported that Angie was seeing a low-profile real estate agent.
"Brad and Angie are both very secretive about their dating life. Angie has told some friends she isn't ready to date, but she has been seeing a handsome, older-looking man who is a real estate agent," the source said. "He isn't a celebrity or high profile in any way."
Another source claimed this was not true.
“She is absolutely not seeing anyone and will not be,” a source told PEOPLE. “She will focus only on their children and being with them. She has no interest in dating at all.”
Either way, it’s good to see the two getting on with their separate lives.
