2. Daddario denied the rumors last year.

In May 2017, E! News published an interview with Daddario where she was asked about the dating rumors. "We work together closely; he's my love interest in the film. I understand why people would go crazy over something like that, but Zac and I are very good friends," she said.

3. He dedicated a romantic birthday post to her.

On March 16, Daddario's birthday, Efron posted an Instagram photo of him with his arms around her waist. "Happy birthday to one of the the most real, down to Earth, stunning, intelligent, creative, loving, and most rare Pokémon ever created," he wrote. It sure doesn't sound like something a "very good friend" would say.

4. And he was at her birthday party.

A post on her Instagram of her blowing out candles for her 32nd birthday shows him in the background. The fact that he was there doesn't tell us too much, but his expression sure does.

5. Efron has said he doesn't do dating, whatever that means.

"Dating is something I'll never be able to do," he told The Times after his relationship with model Sami Miro ended in 2016. "As in the dictionary definition of dating, because one way or another I've impacted that person's life and they'll soon realize it. A date has to be very long to dispel whatever people think about me." Maybe he's found the one exception.

6. They took their dogs on an outing last week.

TMZ reported on March 29 that the two actors had walked their dogs together and taken them for a shopping trip at the pet store Tailwaggers in LA. Sounds like a date to us.
