We all have opinions, but are you someone who actually shares them?
There are two types of people in the world: those who are opinionated and the ones who keep their thoughts to themselves.
There are so many things going on in the news nowadays that you’d have to be crazy NOT to have an opinion, one way or another, but whether or not you speak up or shut up is another thing.
Even if you do have an opinion about politics, controversial topics, or really anything, I get why people don’t want to voice those opinions.
It doesn't matter if you're a Libra who feels they must right every wrong or a humanitarian Aquarian zodiac sign with a slant towards saving the world.
Heck, I might be opinionated at times, but even I know when it’s better to keep my mouth shut instead of starting something.
That said, I still have a lot of opinions about things and it’s very rare that I keep them to myself. It doesn't matter what astrological season it is.
From Mercury retrograde when communication gets whacky to being around a soul mate who is also a compatible horoscope zodiac sign, I tend to be opinionated and speak up when I want to.
I’m especially fond of getting drunk and yelling my opinions about things from across a room to someone I’m not even having a conversation with — okay, that’s only happened once, but it has happened.
But call me a classic Aquarius, because I tend to get very heated about topics I’m passionate about and with that passion comes some opinions I feel the need to share.
And anything that has to do with current events, I’ve got an opinion about it. Oh, and conspiracy theories.

I’m certainly not the only zodiac sign that loves to tell it like it is, no matter what “it” might be.
We just love sharing our personal opinions and always want to be a part of the conversation, even if that conversation turns into an argument.
Hey, as long as you get to say what you need to say, who cares if it incites an argument, right?
Of course, there are also zodiac signs on the opposite side of the scale; the ones who are either shy about voicing their opinions or know better than to rock the boat.
They might still be pretty outgoing in general, but when it comes to sharing their opinions, they zip their lip.
I get it, but I also have a problem with oversharing things, so even if I tried to keep my opinions to myself, I’m sure I’d still have something to say.
In my opinion, sharing your opinions isn’t a mistake or dumb, as long as you’re smart about it.
If you know how to be tactful about telling it like it is, and aren’t just saying whatever’s on your mind because you know it’ll get everyone mad, then you’ll probably be okay.
I know we all know someone who doesn’t play by these rules, but if it gets them into trouble, that’s their own fault. Which side is your zodiac sign on?
Here are the zodiac signs who are shy about voicing their opinions versus the ones who will tell it like it is, according to astrology.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Getting Libra to voice her opinions is nearly impossible. It doesn’t even matter what the situation is — whether someone is asking what her opinion is on politics or makeup brands — Libra will do everything in her power to avoid answering any questions about her opinions.
It might not even be because she’s shy about it – Libra doesn’t get shy very often. More than likely, it’s because she doesn’t want to make waves.
Libra would rather go to extreme lengths to not tell it like it is, simply because she doesn’t want to rock the boat. In her eyes, having a differing opinion from someone else exposes her to ridicule and judgment; even if that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
She tends to keep her opinions to herself, even when she has something to say, just so she can still be liked by her peers.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
It’s not hard to see why Cancer would be too shy to share her opinions with people because she has a hard time sharing a lot of other things about herself, too. If you want to get Cancer to open up, you have to prove to her that you can be trusted; she wants to make sure that she’s sharing her opinions with people who won’t judge her.
But even then, it can be hard to get Cancer to open up. When Cancer decides that she doesn’t need to share her opinions with others, it’s usually because of her insecurities. The thought of speaking her mind is one thing, but having to possibly defend an unpopular opinion or even get into a disagreement over what she thinks is just way too much to handle.
She’d rather keep her opinions to a journal or herself; somewhere she knows is safe.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces doesn’t always get shy about speaking her mind, but she isn’t someone who does it on a regular basis. If she knows that the people she is sharing her opinions with actually want to hear what she has to say, then she’ll speak up.
Otherwise, she tends to keep her opinions to herself if she doesn’t think she can handle what comes next (AKA defending herself). It’s not so much that Pisces can’t defend herself, but more so that not all opinions are popular and if you have the courage to tell it like it is, then you should also have the courage to stand behind what you say.
When things get too real for Pisces, she can get overwhelmed and decide that dealing with heated discussions and unpopular opinions just aren’t in her wheelhouse.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
When you think of zodiac signs who don’t like to get loud and tell it like it is, you don’t often think that Scorpio could be so far down on the list. Sure, she can get heated and passionate just like anyone else when talking about something that matters to her, but going crazy with the opinion-sharing just isn’t her thing.
That said, she does love honesty, which is something that often comes with telling it like it is. Scorpio will only share her opinion when she feels like it can better the situation. If, for example, one of her friends is asking for Scorpio’s opinion on how to deal with a friend who is acting a little weird and shady, she might say that honesty is key in making friendships last.
But when it comes to sharing her opinions about things that are personal, she’s not as forthcoming. Scorpio will tell it like it is only if it applies to other people. Otherwise, she’ll stay secretive.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo’s opinions are fierce and brave, much like a lioness is fierce and brave. But she’s actually a lot more chill than people think. It’s true that she can be competitive and a little rough around the edges, but that’s only because she sees a lot of potential in herself and wants to prove that she can be anyone she wants to be.
But when it comes to dealing with other people, she’s not as vicious as people expect. Unless she is agreeing with a popular opinion, Leo has a tendency to keep her opinions to herself. She doesn’t mind telling it like it is when her friends ask for help, but beyond that, it’s not something she actively seeks out.
She knows that having the unpopular opinion about something isn’t always as rebellious and brave as it seems, and unless she sees a reason to defend her opinion, she’d rather just not get into it at all.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus is opinionated, but only to a certain extent. While it’s true that she doesn’t like hiding things that need to be said (however unpopular it may be) and tries to be honest and open with the people she cares about, she doesn’t like trying very hard to share her opinions.
Unless she’s trying to prove a point to someone, she tends to be on the chiller side of things. Plus, Taurus’ laziness can really get in the way of her standing up for herself after telling it like it is. When she’s willing to share her opinion, she can get really passionate, but when she’s not, she’ll still tell it like it is, but she won’t go into detail about it.
For her, that’s just extra work when the people she’s talking to should already accept what she says and let it go. Talk about lazy!
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries is one of those friends who always has something to say, but it’s not really an opinion either way. There are times when she will honestly tell it like it is, but for the most part, she just likes to hear herself talk.
She isn’t one of those people who talk about sensitive or heated topics just so she has an excuse to argue — she’d rather tell you that McDonald's chicken nuggets are better than Wendy’s and that’s that. Aries might seem like she likes to argue (could be because she’s a fire sign), but all she really cares about is having a good time and chilling with friends.
And whenever she’s sharing her opinions with her squad — unpopular or not — she knows that even if they all start arguing that it’s just for fun. She isn’t going to intentionally start a fight just because she wants to tell it like it is.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius tries to pass off her love of telling it like it is as “life advice,” but anyone who knows her knows this is just a way for her to talk about herself – Sagittarius looooves to be the center of attention.
But even though she might get too into her own head while trying to give you life advice, there are a few nuggets of truth in everything she says. For Sagittarius, life is all about learning from your mistakes and using those mistakes to grow into a better, more mature person.
So, when she does start telling you what’s what and sharing her opinions, she’s not always just talking so that people will listen to her. And if her friends are the ones asking her for her opinion, then she’s definitely going to try to be as honest and open with them – even if her opinions are a little harsh.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is the kind of friend who always thinks she knows what’s best for everyone around her (including herself, of course). Whenever someone needs help or is a little lost, she’s the one who says, “Okay, so here’s what we’re going to do,” and magically, people always listen to her.
She has a loud, commanding voice and a lot of opinions, so she knows people will listen. Of course, there are times when she just wants to hear herself talk. But even when she goes off on a tangent talking about how she knows best and that you should always listen carefully to her when she tells it like it is, she’s still a smart cookie and shouldn’t be ignored.
It can just be overwhelming sometimes to constantly have her in your ear voicing her opinion.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius is verrrry opinionated and anyone who says she isn’t just hasn’t seen her in her element. And by element, I, of course, mean that when Aquarius is defending someone or something that is very important to her, she will get very heated and passionate.
I’m talking color in the cheeks, lots of hand and arm movements, and talking fast so she can get all of her opinions out in one breath. She can be kind of obnoxious and loud when she’s telling you how it is, but it’s also refreshing to see someone so willing to get into even the worst opinions.
Aquarius is especially passionate about politics and controversial topics and will not hold back when these topics are brought up. Even if you only ever see her more relaxed side, that other side is definitely there.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini loves having opinions, even if that means changing her stance on said opinions every other week. But even if you try calling her out on her wishy-washy attitude towards things that she supposedly stands up for, she’ll still shrug her shoulders and tell you that she’s allowed to have whatever opinion she wants… okay, Gemini.
But just because she can’t pick one opinion to have and stick to it doesn’t mean she’s quiet about telling it like it is. In fact, she doesn’t even have to know what she’s talking about when she shares her opinions, as long as she gets a word in.
This is obviously a great way to get into trouble, but anyone who knows Gemini knows that she has an issue with talking too much. But hey, if she’s cool with it, then let her do her own thing, right?
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo is the most opinionated zodiac sign and would probably die if she didn’t get to speak her mind. She can’t go anywhere without saying something along the lines of, “You know what I think?” because she always has that mind of hers working 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But even when she always has to speak up, she’s never condescending about it.
She may be a little bit of a know-it-all, but to Virgo, being opinionated just means she cares. And if anyone can prove that Virgo DOESN'T care about everything she does, then they would be the only one. Virgo just like being in control and having her voice heard, which means she sometimes has to be bossy and let people know what's up.
