The sister of the man who is on death row for killing nine people at a South Carolina church has been arrested for bringing a knife to school and threatening students participating in a walkout against gun control.

Morgan Roof is the 18-year-old sister of Dylann Roof, 23, who opened fire on a church in Charleston in 2015 and murdered nine black parishioners in an effort to start a race war.

According to WISTV, Morgan was arrested after she posted a threatening message on Snapchat.

Morgan was referring to National Walkout Day, where thousands of students across the country walked out of school on the one-month anniversary of the Parkland school shooting to protest gun violence.

Her school, AC Flora, participated. When she was arrested, police said she had a knife, marijuana, and pepper spray on her.

The school issued a statement saying that her comment was "not a threat, but extremely inappropriate."

During her brother's trial — who claims to be a self-avowed white supremacist — it was revealed that the Roof children were victims and witnesses of domestic abuse.

Morgan Roof has been charged with simple possession of marijuana and two counts of carrying weapons on school grounds. She was released on a $5,000 bond but was not allowed to return to her high school.
