That's what it's like for the blunt zodiac signs. Even if their horoscope tells them to be more mindful of their harsh words, they are also people who can't help themselves when it comes to be truthful and saying things in a brutal way.

1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius individuals are known for telling it like it is, even when that's the last thing you want. They appreciate brutal honesty and just don't understand why sometimes their truth hurts other people's feelings. When a Sagittarius is honest, it can feel like a sucker-punch and leave you feeling destroyed.
It wasn't their intention to hurt you, they just don't have much tact or empathy. If they lose friends because of their bluntness, they'll make new ones easily enough.
2. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are confrontational, insensitive, and brutally honest, which means they're not going to hesitate to tell you off. They're also impulsive, so they're going to say whatever is on their mind before considering the effect it will have on the other person.
If an Aries is giving you their honest opinion, make sure you're ready for it because they're not going to hold back or soften it all. If you can't take their honesty, you might want to hold back on pushing them to tell you what they really think.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are honest because they can't stand living under a lie — it takes too much work. It's better to be honest than having to remember what they said and verify that anyone else involved would back up their story.
They're not trying to be mean, it's just that they can be a little clueless about how their behavior, especially their words, can hurt others. If they say something that's harsh, they can go a long time, possibly forever not knowing the hurt it caused.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are critical about everybody, especially themselves. They don't have the ability to hold back or skirt the truth, so what they say can come off as harsh. They're just trying to help. How can you improve if you don't know the scope of your failure?
A Virgo wouldn't say anything to you that they wouldn't tell themselves, and that's where the problem lies. They can't help being overcritical. If their words hurt you, Virgos will beat themselves up about it, so there's that, but that doesn't mean it won't happen again.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Since Aquarius aren't the most sensitive of signs, they tend to just blurt out whatever they're thinking without regard to how it will hurt someone. They don't feel the need to not tell the harsh truths.
If someone gets hurt, Aquarius won't really understand why. They were coming from a place of love, it's just that they took a detour and ended up at a place of cruelty and brutal truth. Aquarius assume you'll get over it and will be able to move on — that is, if they even remember saying that hurtful thing to you.
