Awful New Details Revealed About The 2-Year-Old Girl Found Frozen To Death On Her Family's Front Porch
No one has been charged in Wynter Parker's death.
Police have released new details about the Ohio toddler who froze to death outside her home on Feb. 2.
Wynter Parker, 2, was discovered by her mother on their front porch. She wasn't breathing, and her mother told the 911 operator that she wasn't sure how long the little girl had been outside in the 15-degree weather.
“My daughter, she was outside! My daughter, she’s not breathing!” the mother is heard saying in the 911 recording obtained by The Washington Post. “She is ice cold! She’s not responding to me!”
"She's frozen! She's frozen!" the mother screamed.
Though police released the identity of the toddler, because the mother or father have not been charged with a crime, their names are not being released.
With the child's death still under investigation, police are releasing only a few details.
The mother reportedly told officers that she went out with her 4-year-old son and left Wynter with her father, who "works a night shift and fell asleep." That's when the toddler wandered outside.
According to police, the mom was gone for two hours before she returned to find her daughter cold to the touch. Wynter later died at the hospital.
"While Wynter and her dad slept peacefully, Wynter being the growing, curious, ambitious toddler that she is awoken from her nap without disturbing Dad and left our home," a message on the toddler's GoFundMe page reads. "No one was aware that she was outside in the snowfall, in freezing temperatures with life slipping away from her, dying. My little girl froze to death."
The campaign, which is to fund Wynter's funeral, has raised $1,250 of it's $3,500 goal at the time of this article.

The Summit County medical examiner's office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on Wynter to determine her official cause of death. At this time, no one has been charged with a crime.
