6 Zodiac Signs Who Don't Get Much Sleep
They've got better things to do.
We know that most healthy adults should have between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night, and that when you get older you may need even less. However, everybody has their own idea of how much sleep they need compared to how much sleep they get.
But there are some insomniac zodiac signs who don't seem to hit the pillow for long enough. And though your horoscope may indicate that you can achieve your goals without snoozing for very long, astrology will tell you that it's not great for your health.
If you suffer from insomnia or any other sleep disorder, you may want a lot of sleep and just not get it. There are some people who have trouble tearing themselves away from their phones, even though research has shown us that it’s best to turn away from a screen at least one hour before bedtime.
However, there are some people who seem to thrive on little or no sleep. You’d think these early birds would lose their energy at the end of the day, but often they’re just as vibrant at night as they were during the day. As long as you listen to your body and make sure it gets the sleep it needs, not having to get a ton of sleep is a gift because we need our Zzzs.
Who are these people who not only function but function well on barely any sleep? Here are the biggest insomniac zodiac signs who are more likely to need less sleep.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
It's impossible to know what Aries' energy source is, but it's not sleeping. Sometimes it seems as if they don't even need to recharge; they just keep going and going. They are the true "I'll sleep when I'm dead" folks because they're so active.
Aries individuals tend to overschedule themselves and they love it. Being busy and having fun is the best for Aries, and they tend to forget to put sleep on their list of things they need to do. They don't even enjoy catnaps.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius like sleep — when they get it. But Sagittarius tends to have severe cases of FOMO and can't stand the thought that they might miss out on something. If they are traveling, they need to see and do everything! They won't allow a little thing like sleep get in their way.
Once they've exhausted everything and they're completely spent, then they might decide to get some sleep. Logically, Sagittarians know how important sleep is, but they still resent it for getting in their way all the time
3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Not only don't Aquarius individuals get much sleep, they tend to try to come up with ways to get even less sleep. It's bizarre. They love thinking up solutions for problems, so you can bet they lie awake at night trying to think of how they can get more hours out of their day.
While they try to behave in any discernible pattern (they can't stand predictability), they tend to get up scarily early in the morning, probably as a way to prove that have control over their sleep patterns. Aquarius fight sleep the way some people fight aging; in other words, with every resource they have.
4. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis talk a good game about how they have to get 8 hours of sleep, and they may actually get some sleep, but they don't get that sleep all at once. If they can take a nap or two, that's the best. They may plan to go to bed at an early enough hour but then they're on social media or planning their next trip to Croatia until the wee hours.
They love sleep, but their attention often gets caught up in something other than sleep. If only the world wasn't so fascinating, they'd get all the sleep they needed.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
If Libra doesn't get a lot of sleep, they can function very well, almost as if they've had a full night's sleep. However, like most things in life, they'll pay a price. They can't go through long periods of time on very little sleep. If they don't get a lot of sleep one night, they have to make it up the next night.
When they repay their sleep debt, they have to do it over a period of time, grabbing an extra hour or two the nights following sleep deficit nights. This method helps get them back on track.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
It's not that Virgos don't want to over-indulge in sleep, it's just that it's practically impossible for them to turn their minds off at night. They have things to worry about, plan, and a vast history of incidents they wish they could do over. Their over-thinking keeps them up, and then there's just too much to fix during the day for them to sleep in.
Once their cycle of staying up at night becomes concerning, they'll try to figure out ways they can get back on a regular sleep track. But whether they're able to get back on track sleep-wise or not, they're still going to worry about it.
