6 Eccentric Zodiac Signs Who Aren't Afraid To Let Their Freak Flags Fly
Being normal is overrated.
Eccentricity often comes with the image of someone who is strange, weird, or a complete oddball, but that’s not necessarily true. Along with peculiar, bizarre, freakish, and odd, eccentric can mean unconventional, extraordinary, or someone who does their own thing, no matter what other people think.
Who are the most eccentric zodiac signs? Though you can check your horoscope for a daily play-by-play of how your personality traits influence your choices, you can also look to astrology for the zodiac signs who express themselves in uncommon and unique ways.
Are we born eccentric or is it something that we develop as we age? We are made up of circumstances of how we grew up and the experiences we’ve had along the way. Sometimes we’re simply wired to look at the world differently than other people.
It’s healthy to make peace with your own unusualness; you want to be able to live and express yourself with your eccentricities. However, you don’t want to alienate everyone with being so abnormal that no one can relate to you.
There are also people who aren’t especially eccentric but who try to embrace eccentric personality traits that don’t come naturally to them. But faking weirdness just to get a reaction from others is just annoying.
1. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians don't just embrace their own eccentricities, but everyone else's as well. They're fascinated by odd personality traits, unusual senses of style, and original thinking.
By not caring about being judged by others or what people may think, it allows them to have more freedom with their own creativity and inventiveness. Aquarius individuals not only love being different from everyone else, they thrive on it.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
One of the reasons that Geminis are eccentric is because they're very versatile. They don't like to be stuck in the way they look or think, or in their relationships. Geminis need to do their own thing, no matter how outlandish or out there it might seem.
Being like everybody else is boring, and that's the last thing a Gemini would want. You can be remarkable and completely you if you adhere to the standard of society.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are very independent and like to do their own thing. They have their own set of guidelines that they live by and they don't want to have to adhere to anyone else's rules.
They have strong tastes and ideas of what beauty is, and if those beliefs don't match with anyone, it's not Taurus' problem. If they want to do something, like create their own fashion statement or artwork, they'll do it even if no one else appreciates their efforts.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces can be so much in their head that when it comes to the real world, they come off as eccentric. It's just that Pisces are extremely creative and imaginative, and they see things differently than other people.
There's nothing that can't be used as inspiration for a Pisces — you may never understand what it is they're seeing or why they do the things they do, but Pisces wouldn't be themselves if they weren't somewhat unconventional.
5. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
No one is as comfortable with their emotions or has as much empathy as Cancers do. Cancers feel things, and for some people that's threatening; they label Cancers as "eccentric" as a way of dealing with their uniqueness.
They may not be as "out there" as some, but Cancers still have their own special way of dealing with the world. Outlandish? Maybe not. But extraordinary? Absolutely.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
You may wonder how someone as practical and reliable as Virgo could be considered eccentric, but Virgos have their own set of idiosyncrasies. The truth is Virgos may not show their freak-side to the world, but they have it.
Virgos like doing things their way and they don't care if that's not the way everyone else does something. In fact, Virgos rarely care about what everybody is doing. They tend to be focused on what works for them.
You may not understand their ways, but know that if it works for Virgo, it's probably a brilliant hack of some kind.
