weheartit When you’re judgmental, it’s not a brag-worthy quality. You don’t want people to know that you’re taking inventory of them and that, for the most part, they’re not living up to your standards. You know it’s not kind to judge others, but sometimes we just can’t help ourselves.
Sometimes, we judge others as a way to build up our own self-esteem. We convince ourselves that other people’s fails aren’t ours. Then there are times when we want to throw the focus off our failings and flaws onto someone else.
We know judging other people isn’t good for us but there are times when we can’t stop it — it has become a bad habit. We react judgmentally without giving it a second thought, not realizing how damaging it is and how it can corrode our own self-esteem.
Some people think that because they’ve set such a high standard for themselves, it’s not only their right to be critical, but their duty.
If they don’t judge others, then their own standard won’t be upheld. If you’re too focused on what’s wrong with people and the world, you miss out on seeing the beauty in everyone and everything. Even your horoscope could tell you that.
No one’s saying that there shouldn't be rules or standards, just don't be so harsh in your judgments and learn to be more accepting of everybody. It's a good thing, not just for your relationships but for yourself.

1. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are the most judgmental people in the universe, but to be fair, they're just as judgmental about themselves as they are with other people. Virgos have incredibly high standards that they set for themselves and other people. They don't seem to realize that what they're really doing is setting themselves up to fail.
No one is perfect, and even with all the research, effort, and attention to detail that Virgos show in everything they do, they're not perfect. Virgos may have a clear picture in their minds of how things should be, but that doesn't mean they can ever reach those standards.
2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras love to talk about people — behind their back or in front of them. Libras tend to be judgmental as a smoke screen, thinking that by focusing on other people's failures, they'll prevent their own flaws and failures from being seen.
Trash-talk may be initially entertaining, but it can hurt people and it can set a precedence. Negative comments aren't helpful and they make the spreader of gossip look bad. Libras may not realize that while gossip may seem harmless, it's ultimately unkind and cruel.
3. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Some Capricorns are judgmental because they have a negative outlook on life or the behaviors of others. Their pessimism feeds their critical nature, and the other way around.
Capricorns sometimes want to be cold-hearted and uncaring as a way to protect themselves. They don't like being judged themselves and try to prevent it in any way that they can, usually by working longer hours than anyone else, doing whatever extra credit they can, and trying to be the best version of themselves so they can avoid negative criticism.
4. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis love being social, so it's not surprising that they tend to judge people by who they hang out with. If you're friends with someone who is loud and obnoxious, and those aren't qualities that Gemini gravitates to it, they'll judge you based on your friend's actions.
There's an old expression that a man is known by the company he keeps, and that's true for Gemini. You're not accountable for what your friend does or says but Geminis think your friend's character reflects back on you.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries may not say it out loud, but they tend to think that anyone who has a different opinion than they do is kind of stupid. Aries can be somewhat stubborn and think they're almost always right. If someone disagrees with them, it's obvious to Aries that they're wrong.
Aries don't have time to consider why someone would have a different point of view and what led up to their thinking. Some Aries will make up their mind about someone quickly and impulsively.
6. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are more sensitive than they let on, and their judgmental attitude is used to protect them from being betrayed and hurt, though it doesn't usually, and Cancers still end of getting hurt. Cancers can be overly-emotional and as a way to feel better, they can go full-on judgment on someone.
Cancers don't want to be mean, but if being hyper-critical of someone who hurt them or of a failed relationship will help, then they're going to do it to feel better.
7. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios hate liars and tend to assume that people are lying, even when they're telling the truth. It's judgmental and cynical to always go to the place where you believe that everyone around you is lying and that you're the only truth-teller.
Scorpios tend to set people up to fail, thereby proving themselves right. It can be hard to win when a Scorpio is determined to see the worst in you. They may think that being judgmental makes them appear strong and in control, but it actually shows how truly vulnerable and sensitive they are.
