Butts are a hot topic right now. There are studies that show that women who have bigger butts are smarter and healthier, have more intelligent children, and are even more fertile

We talk about butt-facialsbutt orgasms, and even exercises that will perk up your butt, but it took Cosmopolitan to remind us that it's important to know the basics before you get more complicated with a subject.

Cosmopolitan says there are five different types of butts in the world, and asked artist Veronica Collignon to beautifully illustrate each type. Which butt type are you?

1. A-Shaped

Pear-shaped (hips wider than shoulders and waistline) women tend to have A-shaped butts that widen below the hip bones, and you tend to have fuller thighs.

2. Upside-Down Heart

The upside-down heart-shaped butt is round without defying gravity and it involves a curve to the outer hips, but with more bootyliciousness in the lower part of the hip.

3. Round

Round butts are some of the most popular butts you can have. If you want to be like Queen Bey (or Queen B, for booty) you can try strengthening exercises for your butt muscles to give your backside a little more something-something.

4. Square

You have a square butt if the line between your hip bone and outer thigh runs perpendicular to the ground. Stay aware of bottoms that are designed to hit high on the thigh, as they can ride up something fierce and result in a self-inflicted wedgie. Talk about uncomfortable!

5. V-Shape

You have a V-shape butt if the line between your pelvis and hips angle inward. Women who have broad shoulders and very narrow hips have a tendency to have this kind of butt.
