Our zodiac signs have a big influence on how we are when everything is perfect, and at times when we're lower than low. When we're at our best everything looks and feels amazing, and when we're at our worst we may do and say things that aren't very nice to ourselves or others.

You have to experience the dark as well as the light, for that's what makes us human. And Melusinastrology on Tumblr has figured out how each sign is at their best and at their worst.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Best: When Aries are at their best, they are full of life, looking forward to the next adventure and noticing beauty everywhere they go. They have a brightness about them in their eyes and in their smile. They don't believe that anything will ever bring them down, or come between them and what they want.

Worst: When an Aries is at their worst, it's practically impossible to find out what's going on in their heads. They internalize everything and blame themselves. They doubt themselves in a self-destructive way and are convinced they'll never make anyone happy. An Aries at their worst is kind of a dick because they don't give a crap if they hurt someone else's feelings.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Best: Tauruses are absolutely fantastic when they are at their best — so sweet and they have such big and loving hearts. They are charming, caring, funny, intelligent, affectionate and have an appreciation for all kinds of beauty.

Worst: Steer clear of a Taurus at their worst as they have no problem using their words to cause pain. Since they have trouble controlling their feelings when they aren't in a great place emotionally, they have a tendency to explode. They doubt themselves and feel as if they've lost all their confidence.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20) 

Best: Geminis really are amazing; they are passionate about life, creative, funny, giving and know how to cheer you up. They are full of energy and ideas, and are extremely caring, inspiring and motivating. Everyone needs a Gemini in their life.

Worst: It's easy to tell when a Gemini is at their worst because they have no sparkle in their eyes, their hands are cold, and they look like they are done with the world. They are disinterested, bored, and any effort at all seems to suck the life out of them. They are so lost in their thoughts they don't see or hear anything, but may say hurtful things they don't mean.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22) 

Best: Cancers are good people; they are kind, brave, generous and understanding. They will fight for what they want and still spread love and good energy. When a Cancer smiles at you, you feel like you've been bathed in happiness and positivity. Cancers a very strong and can handle their emotions well. 

Worst: When a Cancer is at their worst, they'll retreat into their shell and won't talk to anyone. They forget the importance of self-care and go to a very dark place. If they do talk to you, they may say or do something that's so vile that they'll regret it immediately. 

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Best: When a Leo is at their best, they aren't just good — they are spectacular. Leos are dazzling individuals who make every gathering into a party and bring happiness wherever they go. They bring light into the dark because they shine so bring. Leos are proud, ambitious, kind, fair, protective, loving and have a fantastic sense of humor. When a Leo is feeling good, they are very hard to top.

Worst: A self-doubting Leo is the worst and everybody suffers. They can get very harsh, cold and may drift away. Don't try to approach a Leo who's at their worst or they may get mean.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Best: Virgos excel at doing things they love to do. They love spending time with people they like, and are generous, wise, give great advice, plan amazing surprises and listen when you need to rant to somebody. They are a true friend and will keep you grounded. Virgos aren't only honest, but they are fair as well.

Worst: Virgos are at their worst when they forget how smart they are, doubt their skills and their big brains, and make themselves feel small. They can be manipulative, self-pitying, and have a tendency of making big decisions they'll regret later. If they aren't in a bad place, they never would want to cause you pain or make you worry about something just to release themselves from feeling so crappy.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

Best: Libras are funny, full of ideas, charming, spontaneous, creative, honest and great supporters. They remember the little things that can easily make others happy, which in turn makes them happy.

Worst: Can you say moody? When Libras are at their worst, they just want to hide away from the world because they don't want anyone to see what big losers they are. They'll lash out and immediately regret it, or they'll just stop speaking, which is, for a Libra, much worse.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

Best: Scorpios are passionate and enjoy sharing their love of art, beauty, and ideas with others. They are strong, skilled, loving, and have big dreams that almost always come true. 

Worst: At their very worst, Scorpios will neglect their friends, family, the things they should be doing, and themselves. They act reckless and everything they love starts to seem so pointless and irrelevant to them.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) 

Best: Sagittarians are open-minded, funny, and are full of life and good energy. They don't care what people think of them, which gives them the freedom to do anything they want. Sagittarians will stand up for what they believe in, and like to try new things and visit new places. They dance to the beat of their own drummer, but that beat is infectious and fun.

Worst: When Sagittarius is at their worst, they can be over-emotional, hot-tempered, and about to blow up even if they don't know why exactly they feel so bad. They want to talk about it but they don't, because they don't feel like they can explain it properly. They feel tired of everything.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) 

Best: Capricorn has your back, as they are always there when you need them and are happy to help. They always know what to say and do in any situation and are always working on a great new project, motivating others to achieve their goals, and taking care of people. Capricorns will help you to get it done.

Worst: At their worst, Capricorns get incredibly sarcastic and will shut everything down. Deep down they are doubting themselves, but they aren't willing to admit it. They rarely show their emotional hand when they are in this state and feel very bitter and lost.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Best: Aquarians are full of energy, plans, ideas and curiosity. They love communicating with others, meeting new people, and seeing new places. They are genuinely interested in what you have to say. They will take up just causes and are a true humanitarian.

Worst: When an Aquarian is at their worst, it's as if they've run out of gas. They complain non-stop about everything, annoying everyone within earshot. They don't give a damn about anything, ignoring others and feeling empty deep down.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Best: Pisces are very clever, creative, supportive and funny. They are very productive, usually with some kind of art. They inspire others with how they seem to dream things into existence. They can be absolutely selfless and are devoted to the people they love. Pisces feel things deeply and respectfully.

Worst: When a Pisces is at their worst, watch out! They can be dangerous, as it's difficult to tell what they are up to. They can be revengeful, manipulative and stubborn. They have no energy, feel powerless and underestimated, and feel like they aren't being treated the way they deserve.
