What Sex Looks Like From The INSIDE Of A Vagina

You can't unsee this.

In psychology, it's called Observational Learning, or learning by watching. When we're children, we watch our parents and imitate their actions, and as adults, we learn by watching educational videos. I can't even count the number of times I've turned to YouTube for its instructional videos.

This year, we've seen teaching videos showing men how to properly finger a woman, what doctors do to surgically turn a penis into a vagina, and what sex looks like from inside an MRI machine. But it's another video that people can't seem to agree on: Is it pornography, or is it instructional?

The over two-minute video titled "Camera inside of the vagina during sex in Missionary Position" is a clip from a much longer British documentary series called A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex (both are available on YouTube). It gives an up close, personal view into what the inside of the vagina looks like during sex.

For the controversial clip, one camera is placed inside the vagina, one on the woman's nipple, and one on the base of the man's penis. The video shows what intercourse looks like. Now I really understand why a train going through a tunnel is a symbol for sex in all those vintage movies.

If you want to watch the NSFW video, you can click here OR you can click on the image below. Fair warning: It's an understandably VERY graphic video.

This is the couple that agreed to "star" in the educational video.

The question is: is it porn, as many commenters have suggested? And if so, should it be removed from YouTube?

The full-length episodes of the documentary are equally as graphic, but the intention behind these videos is to inform, not to titillate.

YouTube says in its guidelines, "Sexually explicit content like pornography is not allowed... In most cases, violent or graphic or humiliating fetishes are not allowed to be shown on YouTube." These rules seem to be a bit flexible, as the "Up Next" videos are about sex positions, doctors having sex with sexy patients, and doggy-style sex. (And I don't care how educational it might be, I won't be watching the suggested normal vaginal discharge video.)

This doctor gives very clinical play-by-play of the mechanics of sex in the video.

YouTube also says, "A video that contains nudity or other sexual content may be allowed if the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific or artistic, and it isn't gratuitously graphic."

Since the video is part of a larger documentary, it's OK by YouTube standards. If it's not OK by yours, then there are a number of filters to help you restrict that kind of content. I'm glad that this wasn't a 3D video; that would give me nightmares for a long, long time.
