We bet they didn’t teach you the benefits of tequila in health class. Don’t worry, we’ll lend you a little bit of our knowledge.

A natural sugar, agavin, found in the plant used to make tequila may be able to lower the blood glucose levels of people with type 2 diabetes. According to research presented at a meeting of the American Chemical Society, because agavinsare non-digestible and can act as a dietary fiber, they could make a possible sweetener for diabetics!

So what if you can’t currently get drunk while lowering your blood sugar? There’s always hope for the future!

Unfortunately, these synthetic diamonds can’t be used for jewelry, but they can be used for some other cool stuff like computer chips and medical procedures.
