'50 Shades' Friday: Get Ready For Even More Christian Grey!
'Fifty Shades Of Grey' movie fans, you're in luck: Get trailer and sequel scoop here!
Get ready, Fifty Shades Of Grey movie fans, because there is big news this week on the Christian Grey-Ana Steele front.
The most immediate 50 Shades movie scoop? The trailer is coming in two weeks! @FiftyShades tweeted the news, so on July 24, park your booty at your computer and get your drool cup ready. A press release boasted, "The Fifty Shades of Grey trailer will start running in US movie theaters on Friday, July 25 with the movie Lucy, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman."
Even bigger news? Sources report that Universal is already planning a Fifty Shades Of Grey sequel film, Fifty Shades Darker (fans of the books will obviously know that). The studio had a $40 million budget for the first film, and if they make $60 million back — no small feat, but no huge one, either — a Fifty Shades Darker flick will be a definite go.
Of course, there are some caveats: None of the original cast (including Christian Grey himself, Jamie Dornan, nor Ana Steele star Dakota Johnson, nor Mia Grey starlet Rita Ora), writers, or directors have yet signed on to Fifty Shades Darker, and it's still not even written yet, though producers are taking submissions. However, some original Fifty Shades Of Grey movie folks will be back and have already signed on: Kristin Lowe will be back as an executive producer, and producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will also return for the 50 Shades Of Grey sequel.
For those who didn't read Fifty Shades Darker and are curious what it's about? Beware of a 50 Shades Of Grey spoiler: Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey split and Ana, who has a college degree but until the first book had somehow never used a computer nor Google, starts a new career at a Seattle publishing house. But of course, she can't get over Christian Grey, and he knows it ... and offers up yet another new, entangling arrangement that involves a whole lot of sex.
That is, unless the movie tones it down ...
