George Clooney is engaged to Amal Alamuddin, and now even his own mom is speaking out! How does Nina Clooney really feel about Alamuddin?
'You can say I'm extremely happy," Nina told The Daily Mail. "Amal's a lovely girl."
And it turns out Clooney introduced Alamuddin to his parents a long time ago, which means they may well have been dating on the down-low for quite a while. Nina told the Mail that her notorious playboy son introduced Alamuddin to his family for the first time over a year ago. "I like her very much," Nina said, noting that Alamuddin has both "brains and beauty."
Nina added, "We weren't at all surprised when they told us they were engaged, and we couldn’t be happier for them. On an intellectual level, they are equals. That is very important to him. Amal's world couldn’t be more different from the Hollywood lifestyle."
When asked if Alamuddin is anything like Clooney's model exes, Nina cried, "Heavens, no! She's a lawyer, she is brilliant, she is a very bright woman and at the very top of her career." Wow, shade much?
