Same-Sex Fantasies? You May Not Be Gay But You May Have Gay OCD
Gay OCD can affect anyone, gay or straight.
Do you have a lot of intrusive and anxiety-provoking thoughts about the same sex?
If a woman looks at another woman's body and compliments it, her sexual orientation is rarely questioned. She can openly talk about another woman's body, or admit to a "girl crush" without any eyebrows being raised. When a man does it, however, he will probably do it in private so he won't be scrutinized, and even worse he might still question himself on whether this thought process makes him gay. Even if he's not deriving any pleasure out of it, it could lead to him thinking about it all the time.
A psychologist who specializes in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) named Dr. Steven Brodsky goes into detail about how these kinds of thoughts can lead to "gay OCD," and whether that will have any affect on their sexual orientation.
