Jenna Tatum: There's Something In Everly's Eyes That's Very Chan
"She's so happy. She smiles and giggles all the time," Jenna gushes to YourTango about her newborn.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum is a witch.
No, not in real life (gorgeous, successful, rumored to have dated Justin Timberlake, married to Channing Tatum ... yeah, we know what you were thinking). Instead, the 32-year-old actress and new mom will play one on TV when Witches of the East End debuts on Lifetime this October.
"Freya is very ruled by her emotions, and so my power sort of comes from how I'm feeling, which therefore transforms the energy of a room," she teases to us about her character.
And what about real life? What power would she most love to possess? Find out that answer—plus the ways she's already changed since Everly's birth on May 31—in our exclusive interview:
YourTango: Congratulations on the baby!
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: Thank you so much.
YourTango: Who does Everly take after in temperament and looks?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: She's just starting to get her personality right now cause she's so young. She definitely looks like me when I was an infant, but there's something in the eyes that's very Chan. I don't know yet, personality wise. She's so happy. She smiles and giggles all the time.
YourTango: How has having Everly changed you?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: It definitely changed me and deepened everything in my life. Everything I do, I think of her first. Every action I take is for her. It really becomes this otherworldly, deepening picture.
YourTango: You just had your third anniversary. How did you celebrate?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: We actually did a belated one because we weren't together on the actual day. But when we did, we spent time with our baby, with little Everly.
YourTango: Is she a good traveler?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: She has to travel well because she traveled when she was four weeks old, coming back from London. I wouldn't say that plane rides are my favorite thing in the world, but she's a really good baby, knock on wood.
YourTango: If you could cast a spell in real life, who would it be on?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: My daughter, to make her sleep!
YourTango: What power would you like to have in real life?
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: Being a new mom, I would like to be able to sleep like this. I'd like to snap my fingers and be asleep, because I'm a little sleep-deprived at the moment.
