While today, Monday, is her actual birthday, Kate hit the War Horse premiere in London with Prince William on Sunday evening to celebrate her final night as a twenty-something, reports People. The two looked dashing as always, with the birthday girl in a lace gown by Alice Temperley and the Prince decked out in a dapper tuxedo. Whoever said Prince Charming doesn't exist was wrong—the chivalrous hubby held an umbrella over his princess's head as rain started to fall while the couple strolled the red carpet.

Obviously, we love Prince William and Kate Middleton (no secret there). But what makes them even more endearing is not just the fact that they seem totally normal and down-to-earth, but also the fact that they are deeply committed to the causes they believe in. Case in point: while the movie premiere was certainly a date night and a birthday outing (the flick even made Kate cry!), it was also an important night for the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, which the event benefitted. The charity will help military servicemen and women transition from the military back to civilian life and is a cause close to the royals' hearts.

Prince William and the Duchess met with War Horse director Steven Spielberg and the movie's lead actor, Jeremy Irvine, who was a bit starstruck!

"The fact that they're here to watch my fat face on a cinema screen is bizarre," Irvine said. "It's such a thrill. And also for their charity. It's a great cause."
