When Camas, WA, resident Emily Javier found popular dating app Tinder on boyfriend Alex "Biggie" Lovell's phone, it was the last drop in her bucket full of complaints about his frustrating behaviors over the course of their two-year relationship. She was DONE.

So she did what any unhappy girlfriend might do — headed to the local mall to purchase a samurai sword with which to murder him.

Suffice to say things did not go well for either Javier or Lovell from that point on.

Here are 5 deeply disturbing details that answer the question of "Who is Emily Javier?" the woman accused of trying to murder her boyfriend with a Samurai sword while he slept.

1. Tinder was the second-to-last in a whole bunch of straws.

Javier, 30, was convinced that Lovell, 29, was cheating. She claims to have found long, red hair in their shower drain (she is a brunette, although her locks are currently dyed green), and to have noticed scratches across Lovell's back, which she believes he is most likely to have received during a passionate cheating session.

Then, one week before incident, she discovered Lovell had downloaded the dating/hook up app Tinder on his smartphone.

At that point, The Washington Post reports"She did not confront her boyfriend. In the past, he had just denied such accusations. This time Javier went to the mall and bought a samurai sword. 'I thought, I was gonna stab him while he was sleeping,' she told police."

2. She had long been sick of him playing games. Literally.

It appears that Javier had been sitting on quite a bit of suppressed rage toward live-in boyfriend Lovell for an extended period of time before spying Tinder on his phone.

In her affidavit, Javier told police that Lovell “just sits at home all day playing video games and does not do anything to help.”

Although sensitive to being potentially mislabeled — “I wasn’t a sweaty nerd, more of an Ethlete," he told reporters — Lovell explained has been increasingly consumed by his avid involvement in a local gaming community, often dedicating 12-13 hours per day on multiplayer game "PlayerUnknown's Battleground," as well as regularly partaking in “exercises for his hands, wrists and shoulders and also practicing mouse moves and techniques to maximize performance.”

In in own defense regarding Javier's accusations of his cheating, Lovell simply states, “I barely had time to hang out with my girlfriend, let alone another girl."

While the dating app was the catalyst that sent Javier off on her mission to purchase the sword, which she then taped to her side of the bed, along with two additional knives, it wasn't until about a week later that she decided to take action on her plan to kill Lovell.

When he arrived at their around 9 p.m. on Friday, March 2, Lovell ignored her, and Javier knew the time had come to follow through. She waited in their bedroom until Lovell fell asleep, hid his phone so he wouldn't be able to call for help, retrieved the sword from the side of the bed, and began hacking away at him as he slept.

But not for long...

'I was able to wing chun my way to survival,' Lovell said referring to a traditional form of Chinese martial art that focuses on close-range combat."

Once he managed to get her into a bear hug, he says, "I saw the look in her eyes, and it scared the living poop out of me. I told her I loved her, and she was killing me. She needed to call police, or I was going to die.”

Javier finally relented and called 911. Listen to the audio recording of the call below.

“I was just so proud for beating this samurai wannabe crazy lady with hate in her heart,” Lovell said. "I’ve been preparing my whole life for something like this.”

The team of surgeons attending to Lovell were able to reattach his badly severed index, middle and ring fingers — "Obviously, I got some gnarly injuries," he said — he also sustained "deep lacerations on his feet and legs and may have fractured his right wrist, which is in a cast [and there] are various other wounds to his torso, neck and left side of his head."

"I haven't spoken with her if that's what you mean lol... She called the authorities and saved my life, I hope that counts for something," he said. "It's a bit complicated. Regardless, I assume she needs some serious help."

And while the rest of us may find this case to be somewhat unbelievable, Lovell appears more proud than perplexed.

“I didn’t see it coming, but it makes sense that it happened," he explained. "She obviously didn’t want anyone else to have me, so — samurai sword."

And of course, there's nothing like experiencing the eye of the tiger for oneself...
