My girlfriends attitude

Ive been with my gf for over 2 years now, and we have a 1yr old son together. She also has 2 other daughters from a previous marriage. That of which she was married 13 years. The question im searching answers to is about my girlfriends attitude and mood swings! She seems to always want to argue about everything. I cant have an opinion about anything because if i dont agree with her she gets mad and raises her voice. If i dont do things exactly how she wants we argue. One minute we are great and having great conversation, next thing i know she is trying to start an argument. I feel everything in our relationship she's trying to control, everything. I feel like i cant have an opinion or decide anything for us, for fear we are going to argue and fight. I feel i have to agree with everything she wants and let her have her way, again to avoid argument. I love my girlfriend so much and dont want to lose her. But i dont know how to deal with her attitude and mood swings? Please advice me on what i can do, please?

I don't know why she does this, but people can change. I would buy or get from the library, the book, Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. Tell her you think it'd be a good idea to read it together, because you want the relationship to improve. Tell her you're not happy about the level of communication in the relationship, and it needs to change. If she's unwilling, go to a counselor yourself, if she won't join you. This will show her that you are serious about things changing, and that you're not giving up. Hopefully, she will join you in counseling, since she needs an impartial third party's perspective,and it will teach her the proper skills of communicating. Good luck.
