I've been seeing this guy on and off for a while but over two years ago, he was seeing my other friend. I told my friend about our relationship and she got offended and kissed him. I tell him not to talk to her, but he says they're nothing However, they text and FaceTime with each other late at night. How should I deal with this?
If you're "on and off" with a guy, there's no reasonable expectation of exclusivity and you have no right to dictate to him who else he interacts with. If you do enter into an exclusive relationship, he needs to understand that this changes things and he needs to establish and enforce appropriate boundaries when it comes to other women. I would, however, caution you to only blackball any of his friends without good reason - if you've a manipulative and isolating streak, he'd be better off without you.
