Do you have a sneaking suspicion that your partner is a cheating on you? If you do, there's not doubt there's one thing on your mind: Catch him or her in the act. Fortunately for you, this is easier to do than you originally thought. Why?

Because many cheaters make simple, yet costly, mistakes in their relationships. And the make the same mistaks. Every. Single. Time. Cheaters are lazy and uncaring. And this is how you catch them.

1. Cheaters believe they will never be caught.

This through process is incredibly key because it leads cheaters to become bolder, braver. They escalate their risky behavior because they think they're impetrable.

Some men and women are able to carry on affairs for years without their spouses or romantic partners knowing, but this is actually quite rare. Even these long-term cheaters will get to a point of ridiculous escalation and lies that eventualy reveal themselves.

2. Cheaters believe their partner will forgive them.

Many cheaters, regardless of gender, appear shocked when their significant other is upset. Cheaters expect their partners to automatically forgive them, like by writing off the cheating as a simple mistake. Trust me: It's not. It's purposefully and secretively done.

3. Cheaters believe they aren't really doing anything wrong.

It's crazy to even think about but yes, some people actively cheating and hurting their partner don't think they're doing anything wrong at all.

The good news for you though is that men and women who assume they aren't doing anything wrong by cheating don't always cover their tracks.  This means that it's easier for you to catch a cheating spouse or romantic partner and take the appropriate action.

4. Cheaters will change their appearance.

When men and women cheat, they often feel revived. They start to take better care of themselves and improve their physical appearance.

Of course, it is important to remember that maybe there's a good reason for your significant other to get a makeover or change their wardrobe, but it is often a sign of cheating.  In fact, it is such a common and well-known sign that you have to wonder what your significant other is thinking when openly making these changes.

5. Cheaters make themselves unavailable.

When a husband, wife, boyfriend, or girlfriend suspects that their partner is cheating on them, they often attempt to contact their significant other when they don't know where they could be.

This contact is often made by phone.  One mistake that cheaters make is not picking up the phone. If your spouse has purposefully left you out of the loop, then ignored your attempts to get in touch with them, they're probably cheating.

6. Cheaters will talk and flaunt too much.

In keeping with the mistake of believing that they will get away with it, many cheaters make the mistake of talking about their affair or getting braver.

This could mean going out in public, as opposed to meeting in secret. What many cheaters don't realize is that people talk, even the people who they believe they can trust and those closest to them.  In fact, this is how many people become aware of a cheating spouse or romantic partner; they hear the rumors that are flying.

These incredibly real (and incredibly careless) mistakes are just a few of the many, but they're very common. Be on the lookout for a few of them, as they are bright red arrows pointing to your significant other's affair.
