New videos have surfaced of the rapper behaving strangely while on stage and while interacting with fans, and this has people sharing their concern for him.
But is Post Malone okay? Is there reason to worry? Here's what we know about the situation.
1. In one video, Malone seems to pick up his microphone off the stage in a strange way.
A fan on TikTok recently shared a video of Malone slowly picking up a microphone from the stage, cradling it for a minute, and then standing up. The video is a bit bizarre; although Malone is definitely known for being his own person, this seems to be on another level — and it's conceivable that he would be under the influence of drugs and alcohol that could make him behave this way.
2. In another video, he's slurring his words while talking to fans.
In another video that's making the rounds on Twitter, Malone is inside a venue, signing autographs and chatting with fans, but once again, something seems off with him there, too, as he's speaking slowly and slurring his words.
3. Malone has recently opened up about his mental health.
In a new interview, Malone opened up about coping with mental illness, and while he hinted that he is getting help, he also said that he has dealt with sadness all of his life.
“Middle school, I would cry myself to sleep every f*ckin' day,” Malone said. “High school, the same thing. I tried to drink some beers to get rid of that sh*t, but it just never goes away. And I don't think that's anybody's fault; it has to do with something predisposed in you.”
4. Fans are tweeting out their worries for the rapper.
Fans certainly seem concerned for Malone, and they've been sharing that concern all over Twitter.
"Post Malone has been acting strange and inebriated at his shows. Ppl are fearing that this behavior is from drugs and alcohol. Even if you don’t like Post Malone pls don’t cheer this on. He clearly needs help and ignoring it only leads to tragedies. Remember Amy Winehouse," one fan said, while another tweeted, "Guys please, Post Malone has been acting 'weird' on stage since a few weeks. I’m not trying to assume anything, but he looks like he’s under drugs. So please, SPREAD THIS VIDEO. We lost too many artists over overdoses. I hope he’s gonna be okay."
