How Did Tyler Cameron's Mom Die? 'Bachelorette' Star Reportedly 'Devastated' After Asking For Prayers For Andrea Cameron
This is completely heartbreaking.
Some heartbreaking news came out of Bachelor Nation over the weekend, leaving one of the franchise's most beloved stars grieving the loss of a close family member.
Reportedly, former Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron's mom, Andrea, passed away and although we don't know much about the situation yet, we do know from the show that he and his mother were very close.
But how did Tyler Cameron's mom die? Here's everything we know about what may have happened so far.
1. Cameron first hinted that something may be wrong in a tweet last week.
On February 27, Cameron took to Twitter to let fans know that a run he'd scheduled with Good Morning America in New York would need to be canceled because of a family emergency. He asked his followers for prayers, although he didn't go into the specifics about what might be wrong.
"Have to cancel GMA group run tomorrow. Family emergency. Please pray for my mom and my family," he tweeted.
2. How did Cameron's mom die?
In an interview published on March 4, Cameron shared that Andrea died of a brain aneurysm, which certainly explains why her death is so sudden — and why Cameron had never mentioned anything about an illness before.
3. Cameron is reportedly "utterly devastated" about losing his mother.
Sources close to the situation say that Cameron (and the rest of his family) are struggling to cope with losing Andrea, which isn't surprising, considering how tight-knit his family seems to be... and the fact that she was only 55 years old at the time of her death.
“Tyler is utterly devastated and in shock. It doesn’t feel real. His entire family is strong as hell but their world has been shattered,” an insider said.
4. He was spotted out with family members in Florida over the weekend.
Photos have surfaced of Cameron out at Brass Ring Pub in his hometown of Jupiter, Florida on Sunday, along with people who seem to be his family. Onlookers described Cameron as looking "distraught" and mentioned that fans didn't bother him — in fact, they may not have even recognized him.
5. Cameron and his mother were very close.
Fans who follow Cameron on Instagram know that Andrea was a regular fixture in his feed and in posts like the one above, he never held back when it came to sharing sweet messages of how much she meant to him.
"Dear mama, I appreciate you. I love you. I need you. See you soon," he wrote in the caption on this photo, which he shared last October.
6. Cameron shared the news of his mother's passing on Instagram.
"Today heaven gained an angel. We will love and miss our mother dearly," he wrote. "She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on. While we grieve, we ask for two things: First, tell those you love that you love them; and second, please let us take this time to celebrate her life in private. Thank you for all of your love and support."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cameron family at this difficult time.
