Meet Kate Moss' Daughter, Lila Moss-Hack, Who's Following In Mom's Modeling Footsteps
Like mother, like daughter.
Kate Moss’ daughter seems to have followed in her mother’s footsteps and is off to a successful start to her modeling career.
At just 17 years old, Lila Grace Moss has become the face of the luxury brand Marc Jacobs and can be seen promoting a new highlighter in her latest campaign. The resemblance to her supermodel mother is uncanny, so it only seems fitting that she too would be on the path to modeling.
Moss explained how she always idolized her mother and knew someday she too wanted to follow in her footsteps. According to Allure, she said, "I loved going to watch her on shoots. I think because I've seen it since I was so small it's always been an interest. When I did my first modeling shoot, I was like, Yeah I enjoyed it. I want to do more. And I think it's worked out really well."
Lila Grace probably has the best support for modeling because of her mother. How cool must it be to get advice and guidance from a professional supermodel through your career. We see a lot of great things ahead for Lila Grace’s future and can’t wait to see what’s in store for her next.
Who is Kate Moss' Daughter?
1. Her first job was being the face of Marc Jacobs in 2018.
According to Today, Lila Grace was named the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty in December 2018. The Marc Jacobs Instagram account announced her collaboration saying: “Lila’s beauty, composure, patience and kindness made this project even more special than I could have imagined. With each look we photographed, she got into each character effortlessly and gracefully. Thank you, Lila, for being a part of this extremely special project and thank you, @katemossagency and @jeffersonhack for allowing us the privilege to work with your beautiful daughter.” — @TheMarcJacobs
2. Her mom said she’s taught her everything about makeup.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kate shared her admiration for her daughter’s makeup skills and even said that she teaches her about makeup. Kate said: “She teaches me everything. Lila and her friends follow all the beauty blogs and Instagram accounts, and she’ll be like, ‘Mum, you have to try this, it’s amazing what they can do now.’ She does all that contouring and stuff, which I’m sure they do to me when I’m at work, but I never pay any attention. I’m too busy talking.”
3. Nikki Tutorials did her makeup for the Marc Jacobs shoot.
Nikki Tutorials is well known in the YouTube community for her iconic and detailed makeup looks. She has done makeup collaborations with many celebrities including Kim Kardashian and even released her own eyeshadow palette with the makeup brand Too Faced. "When I found out Nikki would be doing my makeup for the shoot, I was so excited. I’ve followed her for so long and even got the chance to meet her in Paris a while ago. She’s so talented and funny, so that made this photoshoot super fun and relaxing," she said, according to Today.
4. She was on the Vogue Italia cover with her mother.
In 2016, Moss landed her first major modeling gig when she was put on the cover of Vogue Italia’s June issue with her mom. According to Vanity Fair, the cover was shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti and the themes were “family” and “love.”
5. She admits that she isn’t a makeup pro.
Funnily enough, when Lila Grace was endorsing an eyeliner for Marc Jacobs, she admitted she isn’t the best when it comes to using it. "I still haven’t fully mastered eyeliner application, but I’m practicing with these new eyeliners," she said, according to People. "They're much easier to use because the applicator is really good and it's smudge-proof."
6. The biggest lesson she learned from her mom was to keep professional and personal life separate.
Lila Grace shared with Allure that her mom has taught her a lot, especially in the modeling industry, but the biggest piece of advice she’s learned was to keep grounded. "I think keeping your personal life a bit more separate from your professional life is quite important. She hasn't said that directly to me, but I think that's what I've learned from her over the years."
