"They're, like, actually fighting!" - Caelynn Miller-Keyes

We're only three episodes into the 2019 season of Bachelor in Paradise, but the drama has already begun. Blake and Caelynn already had a nice little feud of their own; now it’s Jordan Kimball and Christian Estrada’s time to shine. Remember that beach fight from the trailer? Neither do I, but apparently that was Kimball and Estrada. As Caelynn accurately noted, “They're like, actually fighting.” Surely Estrada is more than just a pot-stirrer, though.

Who is Christian Estrada?

1. He’s originally from Mexico.

Christian was born in Mexico and moved to the United States when he was three-years-old. He now lives in San Diego. Before his brief appearance on The Bachelorette, Christian listed his career as a banker. Now, his Instagram bio reveals that he is a "model, actor and entrepreneur," the first two of which he defends on Men Tell All in a heated confrontation with Jordan, who lacks a supplemental real job alongside his modeling career. He says his biggest fear is spilling something on himself in front of a date. I can’t say I relate, but I validate it, man.

2. He was a semi-professional soccer player.

Christian started playing soccer when he was just seven years old. He played for the Seattle Sounders, San Diego Flash and New York Athletic Club (a private social and athletic club in NYC). However, he was eventually forced to retire due to an injury.

3. He may be involved with another reality star

We love a good crossover! Ashley Martson of 90 Day Fiancé was flirting with Estrada via Instagram, posting a picture of him with the caption “Blinded from the start" and a heart eye emoji, which he immediately re-posted to his own story. As further evidence of their budding relationship, matching photos of a Jenga game at a party were posted on both of their individual Instagram stories, revealing they were at the same party. Just to catch you up on all the major Martson drama, she and Jay Smith (from season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé) met in Jamaica and married in May 2018, but struggled with infidelity problems since the start. When Ashley found out that Jay had slept with someone else in the bathroom of his tattoo apprenticeship, she kicked him out and filed for divorce, but ultimately withdrew the petition nine days later to work on their relationship. After claiming she caught Jay cheating again, she filed for divorce for the second time in April.

4. He was previously on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.

He was, unfortunately, sent home on the first night, before he could even move into the Bachelor mansion. After his elimination, he mused, "Rejection doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough. It means the other person failed to notice what you have to offer." You go, Estrada! Keep that self-esteem up.

5. He got into a fight with Jordan Kimball on the beach.

According to Reality Steve,During the cocktail party of this episode, Christian and Nicole are off by themselves talking and he brought a piñata,” he writes in his episode-by-episode spoilers. “Clay goes over to interrupt and basically Christian doesn’t let him. Clay goes back to the group, tells them what happened, and Jordan then goes over to talk to Christian. He’s about to rip the piñata from where it was hanging (basically to throw it in the ocean like last season’s teddy bear), but Christian grabs his arm, and Jordan body slams him to the ground. Security has to jump in and separate the two." And if Reality Steve’s take doesn’t confirm it for you, take it from Estrada himself — he shared a clip of the fight on his Instagram with the caption, "ITS NOT GOOD TO WAKE A SLEEPING LION." After this fight, he gets kicked off. Are the two events correlated? Who knows?

6. There was also drama between Estrada and Clay Harbor.

You see, Christian asked Nicole out on a date, and Nicole said yes, which got Clay a little jealous because the two had "one of the strongest connections of the show's somewhat-established couples up until Christian's arrival." It probably didn't help that Nicole and Christian actually hit it off on their jet-skiing, Spanish-speaking, face-sucking date. In a talk after the date, Nicole told Clay she would like to see him be more assertive in getting her attention. During this conversation, Christian walked over and asked Clay to leave him and Nicole alone so they could complete their date. That's when all the drama began, and now the rest of history.
