4 Full Moon In Aquarius Rituals To Do On August 15th To Live True To Yourself
Cut out the bad apples.
Another month, another full moon! And this time, it's a full moon in Aquarius, the trendsetter of the zodiac signs. In astrology, Aquarius is the lone wolf, the world-changer.
What does that mean for your love horoscope? Just that it's now time to unlearn habits that have ruined your happiness in the past. Habits like people-pleasing, not having healthy boundaries, and not being true to yourself. Because you won't see different results if you keep repeating the same BS.
So, here are five Aquarius full moon rituals for you to do on August 15th to live a more authentic life and cut out the bad apples.
1. Reevaluate the people in your inner circle.
You are the average of the five people you surround yourself with. So do yourself a favor and grab a pen and paper ASAP. Then, list out all the people in your inner circle (it doesn't have to be just five). By inner circle, we mean people whose opinions hold weight with you.
Next, create two columns: "How do they add value to my life?" and "What value do they get from having me in their life?" List out the same for each person. The point of this exercise is to be brutally honest with yourself and see if the people in your inner circle make your life better or just take, take, take from you but never give anything back.
Well, at the end of this exercise, if you realize you have a few emotional vampires leaching off of you, now is the time to go snippety snip and cut them out of your life. You don't have to be drastic about it, but slowly extricate yourself from these toxic relationships.
Because it's no fun being the smartest person in the room. And everyone should have people who add tremendous value to their life.
2. Ground yourself.
Aquarius is a cerebral zodiac sign, so don't be surprised if you find your thoughts a bit out of whack on August 15th (and a few days before and after). Although, to be honest, you may not really notice much of a difference if you already live too much in your head.
The point of this ritual is to help you ground yourself at the moment. Because overthinkers rarely make good decisions for the future.
To do this, all you have to do is take in a deep breath, hold it for a second, and release it slowly. Do this as many times as you need until you feel the tension melt away from your body.
3. Do a gratitude ceremony.
To do this ritual, you will need a sheet of paper, a way to light a fire, and a well-ventilated, fire-proof area. Start by writing down the three most important things you are grateful for in life. Feel the emotions as you write down why you are grateful for them.
Then, set the paper on fire and release it into the ether. Close the ceremony by saying, "I am grateful for all that life has blessed me with. Keep sending me more awesomeness, Universe!"
4. Give yourself a reality check in front of a mirror.
Full moon nights are perfect for illuminating troublesome aspects of our personality. Because, let's face it, if your love life is as barren as a desert, it's probably because you are repelling people away with some less-than-stellar personality traits. Traits like being too clingy, or being selfish, or doing too much for others when they haven't even asked you to do anything!
So stand in front of a mirror and have a real talk with yourself. Be brutally honest and give yourself a reality check.
Do you feel heartbroken because he was mean, or because you were expecting one thing and got something else? Do you feel jealous because she has a wandering eye or because you are insecure? Do you keep attracting losers because the world is full of bad people, or because you are not good at establishing boundaries and saying no to the wrong people?
Just remember: the point of this exercise is to be your own best friend, not your own worst enemy. So steer clear of judgemental phrases and harshness. The point is to feel empowered so you can make a positive change in your life.
