The last season of The Bachelorette had plenty of drama and we were here for it. In the end, Hannah Brown didn't end up with anyone, because her choice, Jed Wyatt, turned out to be a lying cheating snake. At the beginning of the season, even host  Chris Harrison confessed that the season was a lot to handle, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “There is more drama this season than we’ve ever had on any show, The Bachelor or The Bachelorette — the man drama is intense. It gets physical. They were just on fire. And I think a lot of that had to do with the guys being really on point, with even one of them kind of professing his love on one of the first dates. The analogy I give Hannah is that it’s like you’re drinking from a fire hydrant. It’s a lot and sometimes, it’s just too much. These guys were a lot for her to handle, but she held her own. It was rocky and it’s been a lot for her.”

One breath of fresh in Hannah's turbulent season is Peter Weber. The sweet and mellow Californian tried to win Hannah over with his romantic ways and low drama approach. While Hannah didn't choose him, he is now the new Bachelor. Who is Peter Weber?

1. Commercial pilot

Peter is a trained pilot, just like his dad. In fact, his dad isn’t the only airline employee in the family: his mother was a flight attendant and the two met at work. He clearly admires his father’s work and frequently posts photos with his father on social media. After flying for smaller carriers in the past, Peter got a job with Delta last year. In a jubilant post on Instagram he says: “I’m so ready for this adventure! I’ve wanted to become a major airline pilot my entire life and today I’m so excited to announce I’ve accepted an offer to fly for Delta Airlines. I can’t express my gratitude enough to everyone who’s helped me achieve my dream; thank you a million times. I feel like a little kid right now and I’ll never forget this feeling.”

He flies for Delta.

2. Romantic

Being a pilot has its advantages in dating for Peter. According to his official bio on The Bachelorette website, he once took a girl to Santa Barbara for dinner and a sunset flight. The drive would only be about an hour from his Westlake Village, California home, but the experience of flying into a pacific sunset would be second to none. He also goes on to say that he loves snowboarding, watching football and line dancing and his life motto is "you should live this life always expecting something great is about to happen to you."

3. Courting Hannah B

On The Bachelorette, Peter used his romantic mojo to gain favor with Hannah Brown. While he hasn’t whisked her off for any sunset plane rides, he did win over a lot of fans when he took Hannah aside to ask her a very important question. Refinery 29 says that it turned out he wanted to say “Will you be my girlfriend?” Hannah seems to be responding to the boyish sweetness. The two of them made out on camera and when he laid her down on a pool table in one episode, she seemed totally into him.

4. Low drama

This season has already had its share of guys trying to get manipulative. In particular, a contestant named Cam kept trying to barge in and get more face time with Hannah. He even finagled a moment alone with her to drop some news about a chronic health issue he has, in the hopes of avoiding being sent home. Hannah saw right through his song and dance. But Peter is steering clear of all that and Hannah seems to appreciate the earnestness of his approach.

5. The windmill incident

Pilot Pete is perhaps best known for being the guy Hannah Brown had sex with five times in a windmill while in Greece. The fact that he wasn't chosen after that — well, we don't know what to think about that!

6. Pete injured on Costa Rican site of Bachelor; rushed to hospital

Reports are coming in that Peter Weber suffered a serious injury while filming on location in Costa Rica. He reportedly "split open his face" while golfing on October 7. He was rushed to a hospital two hours away in San Jose. He needed 22 stitches in his face and underwent surgery.
