Who Is Brittany Sorey? New Details On Florida Woman Whose False Sexual Assault Report Led To A Man's Death

Facebook Many have had the terrible experience of being sexually assaulted and have to deal with it for the rest of their lives. Brittany has claimed false allegations against her neighbor, an innocent man who has lost his life due to her fabrications. Who is Brittany Sorey?
1. Who Is Brittany Sorey?
Brittany is a 30-year-old mother of five who resides in Largo, Florida and is married to George Sorey. Following the fake attack claim she posted on Facebook about the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence and acted like she was raising money for a good cause. After reporting that she was sexual assaulted Brittany allowed her friend to move into her house while she and her husband moved out because they were behind on their rent.
2. False Sexual Assault Claims
Last month Sorey made a report stating to the police that a Hispanic man entered her home while she was alone and attacked her. She claimed that he "battered her and vaginally penetrated her with a broken broom handle and a box cutter." During her interview with one of the detectives she confessed that the accusations were false and that she was never sexually assaulted.
3. What Is The Hidden Story?
On May 10th, Michael Peterson, Brittany Sorey's neighbor, came to confront her about money she borrowed from him and never returned. When the friend heard the banging on the door Brittany convinced him that it was the man who previously assaulted her before. The two ended up in a brawl because the friend tried to take a photo of the neighbor as evidence and the friend ended up killing Peterson in a battle of self defense.
4. Facing The Consequences
Brittany has been charged with filing a false police report. However, the police have not yet been able to charge her for the death of her neighbor. She was released on a $150 bond shortly after. News of the false allegations has caused many people to lash out at her and defent her neighbor Peterson. Mr.Peterson enjoyed fishing as well as gardening. The neighbors that knew him personally were heartbroken when they found out the news. The family members of Peterson are planning to scatter his ashes where he used to fish.
