1. He is a YouTuber

Dobrik first started gathering his fanbase in April 2013 when he made his debut on Vine. He was soon able to get other popular Viners such as Brandon Calvillo, Alex Ernest, Jason Nash, Gabrielle Hanna and Liza Koshy to collaborate with him. Dobrik moved on to co-host a YouTube channel called Second Class in July 2014 with his friends Cameron Kasper, Jack Dytrych, Jake Webber and Bren Lunn. The group posted skits, pranks, Q&A and challenges on the channel. Second Class had a total of 18,697 subscribers.

Then on December 19, 2014 Dobrik branched out and started his own YouTube channel called David Dobrik. His channel currently has a total of 14.1 million subscribers. He has a second channel called David Dobrik Too, which he started August 31, 2016. The channel has 5,195,675 subscribers and features videos of Dobrik with his family and friends. His most recent channel, Views Podcast, was created in September 2018 and has 440,778 subscribers.

According to TheFamousPeople, Dobrik posted a tweet thanking Vine for his success after hitting the one-million follower mark. If it hadn’t been for Vine, he “would still be back on the farm in Illinois raising cattle, or worse, going to college,” Dobrik said.

2. Liza Koshy is his ex

Liza Koshy is a fellow YouTuber, Viner and actress. The pair first began dating in 2015 and appeared in various vlogs together. However, in 2018 the pair released a video titled "We Broke Up", where they explained in six minutes why they had decided to end their relationship. They both explained how the pressure from their careers had made them distant from each other. Instead of staying in an unhealthy relationship they decided it would be better for them to simply part ways. Though the video was released in June 2018, the pair had been broken up for six months already.

Dobrik apologized for not letting their fans know sooner on his YouTube page. “Sorry we didn't let you know sooner... we wanted to be comfortable talking about it,” Dobrik wrote. “All is good tho.. I’ll be back to putting snakes on Liza as soon as I can find a cobra! Love yalll.”

The pair are still best friends and can still be seen on each other's social media accounts.

3. He has won several awards

Dobrik is a popular vlogger, and his accolades more than show for it. In 2017, Dobrik was named 'Vlogger of the Year' at the Ninth Annual Shorty Awards and in 2018 he was named First Person at the Eighth Annual Streamy Awards. Paper Magazine also called him as one of the “10 Social Media Personalities Making the Most Noise” in 2018. His group The Vlog Squad, the friends who appear in Dobrik’s vlogs, also won Best Ensemble Cast under the name David’s Vlog.

4. He is friends with Olivia Jade

Dobrik is good friends with fellow YouTuber Olivia Jade, daughter of Lauri Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli. Her parents are currently involved in a college admissions scandal, where they have been accused of paying large sums of money to get their children into some of the top universities along with 50 others including Felicity Huffman. Dobrik spoke to ET about his friend's situation at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in March. "I haven't gotten to talk to her a lot, but she's a sweet, smart girl so I'm sure she's holding up good," Dobrik told ET. "I wish [her] the best. It's the worst to get [wrapped up] in anything bad."

5. Olivia Jade was spotted at his house party

Just one month after speaking to ET, Dobrik threw a house party and Jade was in attendance. Jade was spotted in multiple videos on social media laughing and having a great time with some of the other Vlog Squad members as she danced to the Miley Cyrus song "Rock Star." According to the Daily Mail, the night out comes just after one of Lori Loughlin's daughters received a letter from federal prosecutors stating that she was the subject of a probe that could result in criminal charges. The Daily Mail reported that in order for Jade’s parents to get her and her sister admittance to the University of Southern California, they had to pretend that their daughters were on the crew team. This suggests that Jade and her sister could have been willing participants in the scheme. Jade’s parents have pleaded not guilty to all charges.
