The second season of E!'s Very Cavallari kicked off in March. The show follows Kristin Cavallari, her retired football player husband Jay Cutler and their family as well as the chaos that comes with running a new business and living in Nashville. The season opened with Kristin and Jay moving into their new house in Nashville, which includes chickens and a goat but Kristin wants more: specifically, a llama. So the former Laguna Beach and The Hills star called up her friend Caroline to see if she could borrow her llama Pekka. Oh, and by the way, Kristin's friend Caroline just happens to be Luke Bryan's wife, no big. Who is Luke Bryan's wife, Caroline Boyer?

1. They met in college

Luke Bryan met Caroline Boyer at Georgia Southern University in the fall of 1998 at a bar called Dingus Magee's in Statesboro, Georgia. Luke was a senior. Caroline was a freshman. They dated in college and broke up for five and a half years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi in college. Luke graduated and moved to Nashville to pursue his career as a singer. Caroline stayed behind and finished college. All was not lost, however, as the two would run into one another again.

2. How did they get back together?

Several years later, Luke was playing in a bar in Statesboro and Caroline just happened to be back in her college town for a visit. They saw each other and had a chat and then started emailing each other. When the holidays rolled around she asked him to go to her family's Christmas party. According to Luke the rest is history. He said that he realized they were going to spend their lives together first. "It took me eight seconds to figure it out — and it took her about eight years to figure it out."

3. When did they get married?

Luke proposed to Caroline in front of Nashville's Parthenon. He blindfolded her after a dinner date and took her there. "We had kind of been talking about houses and stuff and I told her I had a house I wanted her to see. So, that’s what she thought she’s gonna do. When she took the blindfold off, I was down on one knee." They got married in Turks and Caicos on December 8, 2006. They honeymooned in the Colorado mountains.

4. Do they have kids?

Not long after they got married Caroline got pregnant. Their first child, Thomas "Bo" Boyer Bryan was born in March 2008. Two years later their second son Tatum Christopher Bryan was born. Though these are Caroline and Luke's only two biological kids, their family grew due to a family tragedy.

5. The family tragedies

Luke is the youngest of three siblings: two boys and a girl. In 1995, when Luke was 19, his older brother Chris died in a car accident. Then, in 2007, Luke's sister Kelly passed away unexpectedly at home of unknown causes just days after she organized a group of friends to go see her younger brother make his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. In 2014, Kelly's husband Ben Lee Cheshire died, leaving three children without parents. Luke and Caroline did not hesitate for even a moment. They adopted his nieces Kris and Jordan and nephew Brooks.
