6 Stoic Zodiac Signs Who Easily Detach
They are unfeeling.
Letting go is nearly impossible for some, even if it's letting go of an idea. But when it comes to love, very few people can simply detach.
We are, by nature, an attached species. Most of us agree on the idea that, one of the things that makes life worth living is love. When we find love, we attach ourselves to it. It becomes our life force, so when tragedy hits or when we find ourselves in a position of having to let that love go, we suffer. As it is said, attachment is the root of all suffering... and it is true.
When we fall in love, we sign an invisible contract that guarantees pain, whether through a breakup or inevitable death. One way or another, one party in a love relationship is going to experience great pain, and that is the pain of attachment. Sever the ties and in comes the pain.
But there are certain stoic zodiac signs in astrology, in particular, who can walk away from that pain. They are masters of emotional detachment and can spare themselves a world of hurt.
While that might seem inhuman, it's actually a more advanced way of learning to survive; we don't let everything hurt; we temper our pain, we pick our battles. And yes, some of us can easily detach and some of us can walk away unharmed. Who are we?
1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
You detach easily because you prefer to be alone, no matter what. You've seen love and friendship, and while those things register to you as nice, those are things you don't really need. You have all you need right there in your wild imagination, and people have proven to you that they are unreliable and possibly even evil.
You've been hurt by way too many people and you realize that going back for more doesn't work. Lessons learned, and you're naturally able to walk away. You're a zen master when it comes to emotional detachment.
2. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
You walk in ready to give it your all, and you do — in relationships, family and friendships. You put your whole heart in, and when you get hurt, you snap out of it so hard that we can hear the ricochet of that snap round the world.
You fear being hurt — enough to make sure you don't get hurt, and that means you take your lessons and learn from them. When you smell a hurtful situation coming up, you're the first to detach. Pain is not your thing, and you've already had way too much for your liking.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
You were basically born detached. You've been fooling people since you're a child, letting them think you're invested, yet, as we all come to know about you, you are detached and uncaring.
In a way, it's a good thing; you get to protect yourself day in and day out. When and if a person falls in love with you, well, hey, that's their problem now, isn't it? You don't care about love, but you certainly do care about yourself.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
You are another one who falls hard, feels it all, then learns the hard way that it might have been best if you hadn't thrown in your entire heart and soul. Yes, you believe life is only good when you're playing with all cards out, fully vulnerable, but you're a fast learner, and when pain is your teacher, you declare a full stop.
No pain for you, Leo! You have mastered the art of emotional detachment and, if you could, you'd teach others the same.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
If you are an Aries, then you've been on both sides of the attachment-detachment equation, and the pain you've experienced in your life is exactly what has taught you to fend off the pain of future attachment. You detach easily because you are an absolute stoic warrior and you detest feeling badly on a continuous basis.
You do something about it: you rarely wallow in pain, and if you find yourself on the wallow, you nip that pain in the bud by properly detaching from the situation.
6. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
You can walk away with anything. You have no attachments to anything but your own agenda, and often times that agenda is about being alone, no humans required. Most human beings are a disappointment to you anyway, so attaching yourself to one seems to be beneath you.
If you weren't so intentionally cruel, you might be seen as enlightened. What an irony. You detach easily and often.
