Love & Hip Hop star Erica Mena's ex-boyfriend Cliff Dixon was shot and killed around 1am Thursday, March 21st at SL Lounge in Atlanta. Reportedly, a lone gunman opened fire in front of the nightclub. Dixon, who was friends with NBA stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was 32 years old. Authorities responded very quickly to the incident as there was an officer nearby patrolling the area when he saw a black male wearing all black and a black skull cap open fire on Dixon. 1. He had advertised where he would be that night

On Wednesday, Dixon, a former basketball player, advertised his "birthday celebration" in a number of posts on his IG story. One of them was a flyer that read "Bryan Michael Cox and Keith Thomas present a birthday celebration for Cliff." The flyer revealed the location of the party, which was accessible to the public. Dixon also posted a photo of himself in which he was smiling and captioned it: “I ain’t pick no sides..I ain’t change up..Thank you for all the bday love! Ah ni**a made it another year."

2. Cliff and Erica

Erica Mena and Cliff Dixon dated for about 10 months. They broke up sometime late last year. They had a rocky relationship and were both arrested in October 2018 after they got into a physical altercation at Erica's house. At the time of Dixon's death, Mena was in Jamaica with her fiancee, Love & Hip Hop star and rapper Safaree Samuels. 5. The official statement from the police

The Chamblee Police Department in Georgia released a statment saying: “The Chamblee Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning at 0117 a.m. at the SL Lounge at 4186 Buford Hwy. The victim, 32 year-old Clifford Dixon, had just arrived at the location and was standing in the parking lot when the offender shot him multiple times. First responders administered aid, and the victim was transported to Grady Hospital where medical staff advised that he had succumbed to his injuries. The offender fled the scene on foot. Chamblee Investigators are actively working the case and following up on all available leads.
