The country singer secretly got married on Valentine's Day. Who is Miranda Lambert's new husband?

Miranda Lambert stunned fans over the weekend when she secretly married Brendan McLoughlin, a relationship she had pretty much kept under wraps. The country singer secretly tied the knot on Valentine’s Day and announced their marriage later on social media.
Lambert tweeted: "In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me."
It's unclear how long the couple have been dating; Lambert split from her boyfriend Evan Felker back in August 2018. Lambert told the Tennesseean on Aug. 24 that she was “single."
“Love is a hard road sometimes and it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it. You’ve got to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts.”
Luckily for Lambert, single life didn’t last too long. She and her new husband were spotted strolling in New York City on Saturday, looking as happy as ever and holding hands in wedded bliss.
“They looked happy and natural holding hands strolling sidewalk," an onlooker told People. "She was beaming and protectively holding her ring finger. They looked like a couple going on a date in the city.”
This marks Lambert’s second marriage following ex-husband Blake Shelton, from whom she split in 2015. So who is Brendan McLoughlin? Here's everything we know about Miranda Lambert's husband.
1. He’s a police officer.
The Staten Island native has been a member of the New York Police Department since 2013. The Twitter account for the NYPD Midtown South tweeted a photo of McLoughlin in March 2018, noting that he saved the day when he stopped a robbery while it was happening.

2. He’s a new dad.
McLoughlin became a father just three months before Lambert announced their marriage. According to People, Mcloughlin welcomed a baby with his ex Kaihla Rettinger in November 2018, according to multiple comments posted on social media and a baby registry on The Bump.
3. He was a model.
Before becoming a police officer, he was an aspiring model complete with a listing on Model Mayhem, a database used by models to get modeling gigs. He had joined in 2010 with his bio describing him as an “all-American boy.”

4. He's younger than Lambert.
McLoughlin is 27 while Lambert is 35, making him the youngest man with whom she's been publicly linked since her divorce from Blake Shelton. Lambert dated Evan Felker who is a year younger at 34. Lambert reportedly started romancing Felker despite the musician being married to Staci Nelson since September 2016. She also dated singer Anderson East who was 29 at the time of their relationship. Their relationship lasted two years.
Back in November, the Pistol Annies released the song “When I Was His Wife” in which Miranda crooned about her former marriage to Blake, singing in the opening verse, “He’d never cheat, he’d never lie, he’ll love me forever til the day that we die, he’ll never take me for granted, I said that too when I was his wife.”
Miranda later went on to sing in the chorus, “When you’re blinded by diamonds and driven by looks, Hon’ you can’t build a mansion with a piece of sawdust, Holy matrimony, best day of your life, I said that too when I was his wife.”
5. He's a dog person.
Brendan McLoughlin loves dogs just like Lambert, who also rescues dogs. McLoughlin has been photographed with adorable NYPD K-9s at various police events. In a 2015 tweet, McLoughlin is featured in full blue uniform posing next to a canine comrade.
“Officer McLoughlin with Kybo at today’s doggy diving event,” reads the tweet showing a beaming McLoughlin crouched next to Kybo.
6. He’s athletic.
Lambert’s new husband knows how to stay fit. In another tweet from his colleagues at the NYPD, McLoughlin is shown holding up a trophy after winning a 5K race.
“Officer McLoughlin wins 1st place for #NYPD Keith Ferguson Memorial 5k Brooklyn Bridge Run!” the tweet reads. Congrats to the happy couple!
