That’s pretty unique for Netflix, don’t you think. But one comedian who has stood out is DeAnne Smith, who is Canadian-American. According to her own bio, her style is described as “always relevant, but never reverent,” and the UK Telegraph says that her “effortless charm lets her get away with murder.”

Smith started her stand-up career in 2005 when she was 25 years old, though she didn’t get noticed until 2008 when she premiered and toured her full-length stand-up show. Since then, she’s produced four shows and had multiple solo shows.

She’s toured in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
