As a result, the internet gossip mill went into a frenzy recently when Ariana's ex, Ricky Alvarez, posted a photo of himself to Instagram and Ariana commented, "these colors are sick." Is Ariana Grande dating Ricky Alvarez again?

As you may remember, Ricky Alvarez was one of Ariana Grande's backup dancers.The two started dating in 2015. They broke up in 2016 after a year of dating. The two have rarely talked about their relationship publicly, however in Ariana's May 2016 Billboard cover story, she did talk about her relationship with Alvarez, saying: “We’re happy. I’m a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that’s all anyone cares to know. The end."

Ariana's hit song Moonlight off the 'Dangerous Woman' album was written about Alvarez. Grande's friend and writing partner Victoria Monet told Billboard that Ariana wrote the track after their first kiss. “He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He’s such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship.”

After Ariana and Ricky broke up, she started dating rapper Mac Miller. The two collaborated on her 2014 single The Way and his 2016 single My Favorite Part. They got engaged and moved in together after just a few weeks.
