Who Is Jazz Jennings' Boyfriend? New Details On Amir
They met online.
TLC star Jazz Jennings has found love! The transgendered star of I am Jazz introduced her new boyfriend to her fans for the first time during an episode for Season 5 of her show. The current season focuses on 18-year-old Jennings achieving some huge milestones — including her gender confirmation surgery, which she had over the summer. As it turns out, when Jennings went through her surgery, she had the support of her new boyfriend Amir. Who is Jazz Jennings' boyfriend?
1. How did they meet?
According to Radar, a friend of Jazz's revealed that she and Amir met on the internet. Jazz has been open about her love life — or lack of one — in the past. She has said that she waited a long time to fall in love. On I am Jazz she told friends that she and Amir kiss "a lot."
2. Her friends approve
The good news is that the trans star's friends approve of her new boyfriend. A friend said, "He's very kind and he cares a lot about Jazz."
3. How did her surgery go?
Back in June, we told you about Jazz's gender reassignment surgery. At the time, we thought everything went as smoothly as it could, given it isn't a simple surgery. A doctor said, "She's the most difficult case that I have ever encountered. She'll be experimental. Apparently, things did not go totally as planned. In an interview with ABC News, Jazz revealed, “There was just an unfortunate event and setback where things did come apart, and there was a complication. “I had to come back in for another procedure, but it was just all part of the journey. The good thing though is that it was only cosmetic and external so it wasn’t too dramatic.”
4. Young love
When asked about her boyfriend Amir, Jazz said, “I feel like I’ve been ready to fall in love for so long,” the 18-year-old gushed. “It’s like the ultimate connection.” She enthused, “Amir just gets me and I get him.”
5. Critics
While Jazz is out there being brave and living her best life, her haters continue to hurl criticism her way. Most notable Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard made a series of hateful comments about Jazz. "What an oxymoron. A 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender is a myth. Gender is not fluid. It's ordained by God." Dillard was fired from his TLC reality show as a result of his comments.
