YouTube star Naomi Jon just went viral for her video of self-applied henna freckles gone bad.

The 22-year-old German-born YouTube star with 624,000 subscribers released a video on Dec. 9 that showed herself applying a gold bottle of a long-lasting henna tattoo on to her face in dots to resemble freckles.

After applying the henna in little dots all over her face, Jon noticed her skin was burning and turning very red.

Jon decided to attempt to cover up the very red and inflamed henna with a very pigmented foundation, however, it did not hide the fake freckles at all.

“I’ll have to call in sick from work tomorrow,” Jon said because of the terrible condition of her face and that foundation was no match for the henna.

The video, which now has over 1.5 million views on YouTube, opens with Jon telling the story of how she met the Instagram star who she got the idea and product information from.

"I saw this video on Instagram ages ago where this girl gave herself permanent freckles with henna, I loved it,” Jon said to Cosmopolitan magazine.

Jon made sure to buy the same product Uglysxegirl used in her Instagram video. She bought the Golecha traditional color henna product from eBay just as the girl in the Instagram video told her.
