New Details About Brian Austin Green's Son Kassius — And Why He Hasn't Seen His Dad In 5 Years
His mother is speaking up.
The mother of Brian Austin Green's oldest son said the Beverly Hills 90210 star hasn't been in their son's life for five years.
Vanessa Marcil, 50, won custody of their 16-year-old son, Kassius Green, in 2013 and revealed he hasn't seen his father since. In a Nov. 11 Instagram post, Marcil said Green, 45, willingly cut Kassius out of his life, leaving the boy "heartbroken."
"I never spoke publicly in order to protect my then young son from paparazzi that used to follow him & terrify him," she wrote. "I had also never asked for child support of any kind and had never tried to take time away from Kass’ dad seeing him. Ever. In the end they lost all of these court cases. The judge called them all 'Frivolous' They always had 50% custody and still did when court ended as I had and have NEVER asked for full custody."
Green shares three children with wife Megan Fox, who he married in 2010. Marcil claims Kass, his only child with Marcil, has never met his 2-year-old half-brother, Journey, the youngest of Green and Fox's children.
"Then, 5 years ago on their own they decided to completely cut Kass out of their lives and his younger brothers’ lives," Marcil continues. "Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live."
She goes on to explain how custody cases hurt whatever children are involved, like Kass, for example.
"Custody cases hurt the children only and the truth shall set us all free," Marcil concludes. "Put the kids first you guys. There shouldn’t be a 'more important parent' kids love both parents equally no matter what either parent’s struggles may be. Kass has been truly heartbroken since being cut out of his other families lives with NO explanation. Let’s do better for our kids. Let’s share our stories."
So who is Kassius Green, Brian Austin Green's eldest son?
1. Marcil admitted he's seen his dad a few times.
On Nov. 13, Marcil addressed her son and his father's relationship again, saying they have seen each other in the last few years but only for short periods of time.
"They have been at the same wedding, same resort, and same play a few times in passing and a few 60 minute lunches. That is it," she wrote.
2. He is "Certified Gay."
Kassius says he is "Certified Gay" followed by a rainbow flag in the bio on his Instagram page. His mother is wholeheartedly supportive and expresses her acceptance constantly on social media.
But not everyone has treated Kass with kindness. In one of his posts on the platform, Kass calls out a man who "verbally abused" he and his mother over his sexuality.
"This man verbally abused my mother today," he wrote under the photo of a man driving a truck. "Upon trying to defend my mother, that man called me, a gay male, a “f***ing midget faggot” before continuing to call my mom a bitch and driving away. Why my sexuality is in any way involved in this mans conversing with me or my mother is beyond me."
3. Acting is his passion.
Marcil has posted multiple photos of Kass acting in a play as the character Aladdin. In the comments section of one of her posts, she says that "stage is his passion." He is only 16 and has plenty of time and connections to make a career out of the hobby if he wants to!
4. His nickname is KassMoney.
Well, that's what his mom calls him, at least. On nearly every photo she posts of Kass, she endearingly refers to him as KassMoney. Marcil even uses the hashtag #KassMoney.
5. He apparently got "wasted" at his dad's wedding to Megan Fox.
According to Green, Kass was drunk when he tied the knot with Fox UsWeekly reported. Green said Kassius, who was 8 at the time (yes, EIGHT!), was included in the ceremony and was inebriated before the wedding.
"He got wasted. He got really wasted," Green said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in December 2010. "But he made it through. He sobered up in time."
He seemed to be joking but didn't exactly elaborate or clear things up, so who knows.
6. He was "indifferent" about the birth of his first half-brother.
When Fox gave birth to her first son with Green, Noah, she told the Daily Mirror that Kassius was "a little indifferent" about his newborn half-sibling.
"He’s not experiencing any sort of jealousy or competitiveness but he’s not excited because he just wants to go play video games," she said of Kass, who was 10 at the time.
