getty Are you good at telling stories? Not everyone is a natural storyteller, and you need many talents, skills, and abilities to tell one that keeps people listening. Since many of our personality traits are decided by astrology, there are some extremely engaging zodiac signs that make the best storytellers.
When you hear the word storyteller you might think of storytellers in the past who told tales that were handed down from one generation to the next, or maybe you think of the more modern kind you hear on a podcast. Storytelling is an art that has been around forever and has over the last decade become more popular than ever before.
I’m lucky enough to know a lot of great storytellers, many of them who earn a living by telling stories. My friend James is one of the best, if not the very best. He doesn't just stand there and tell a story — he gives a performance. He becomes the characters he’s talking about by changing the movement of his body, his facial expressions, and his voice.
And just like him, there are six engaging zodiac signs who are lucky enough to have this gift.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are great at telling stories because they're constantly generating material. They love to have adventures and test their boundaries. If you always do the same thing day in and day out and didn't have a very colorful past, then you wouldn't have any interesting topics to tell stories about.
Aries are always doing new things and mixing it up. They're impulsive, enjoy taking risks, and tend to be very enthusiastic about life — and that's exactly what you want in a storyteller.
2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are brilliant conversationalists and they often include stories in their conversations. They're naturally funny and know how to say something to wring the comedy out of it.
Because Geminis are intelligent and able to see things from other perspectives than their own, they seem to instinctively know what parts will enhance a story and which won't. They have a great energy about them which makes them fascinating to listen to and watch.
3. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
If anyone knows how to captivate an audience, it's a Leo. They like nothing better than to be in the spotlight, entertaining people. They tend to have large personalities that dazzle and enthrall anyone in their presence.
They're also very humorous and dramatic so they have the ability to take something mundane like having lunch into a hilarious anecdote. Leos are skillful in the way that they tell stories, and the stories they tell often make their audience feel optimistic and hopeful.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are naturally entertaining and telling stories is something that they have been doing all their lives. Libras aren't against embellishing a story to make it funnier or more interesting. There's always a core of truth to any story they tell, but they are sometimes prone to exaggeration.
At a party or social event, they tell stories to bring people together and to start conversations. Libras also will tell stories out of a need for attention but do it in such a way that just makes them more likable.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces use storytelling as a way to express themselves. Sometimes their storytelling is in conversational form, but other times it can be more visual or emotional. Pisces are extremely imaginative so their stories aren't always rooted in reality.
They prefer not to have limitations placed on them when they're expressing themselves. Since Pisces are so intuitive they're able to adapt their stories so their audience (even if it's an audience of one) get the most out of them.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
For Virgo, it's their attention to detail and their ability to weed out the boring pieces of information that makes them good at telling stories. They tend to be very prepared whenever they're telling a story and may appear as if what they're saying is entirely spontaneous.
But the truth is no matter if the venue is a small dinner party or an audience at a theater, Virgo has figured out exactly what they want to say, and they have worked on their story until it's perfect.
