getty The Occult. Oh, how it brings out the best in us. And these are festive times, darling, what with Halloween and the Day of the Dead. So much celebrating to be done, by all the witches of the world.
The Occult and supernatural definitely play a part in our lives — and if not ours in particular, then in some. We cannot deny this, as we all know people — perhaps ourselves included — who dabble in the magical arts. This all could have been said by Morticia Addams, would you not agree?
Astrology could be considered an Occult practice. Of course, back in those days, astrology was your best bet for guidance. Want help? Go to Uncle Merlin. And still, it takes a certain kind of person to not only take to the aesthetics of the Occult and supernatural, but follow through with that desire for knowledge. That brings us to the dark-minded zodiac signs.
The supernatural world is probably the most downplayed of common occurrences. And interest and curiosity in what lies beneath the "maya," or rather the veil that separates this world from whatever other worlds there are, is something we keep to ourselves.
The desire to know more is sparked by experience, and it would seem almost everyone has some kind of phenomenal experience — possibly in their childhood or teen years — something that needing questioning and further investigation due to its ultimately mysterious nature.
Why else would so many people take an interest in the Occult? To answer questions and to seek knowledge, of course. The Occult is about knowledge. Hidden knowledge. And these six dark-minded zodiac signs find it all alluring.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
You remember how controlling this sign can be, yes? Well, when you have a need for control, you have a need for advice: you need help gaining control, and it's not always grab-able. So, it is not unlike an Aries to reach out to the invisible worlds for that chance to gain control.
This isn't restricted to some dark, archaic time; we're talking right here, right now, in this day and age. Where there are people of power, there are practitioners of the dark arts.
2. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
As fluid as their name suggests, like water, Pisces is a natural conduit between worlds. Their sensitivity works for them and they are able to pick up on subtleties and energy shifts in ways others cannot.
Pisces folks are naturally suggestive, and they follow through on hunches and premonitions. Their predictions are often true, and you'll find them amongst your occultist friends, easily.
3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
One of the most spiritual signs there is, you'll find Cancer nose-deep in any tome of occult importance.
This sign has a natural inclination towards the unexplained and mysterious, and not only that, but they are keen on learning in group situations, which makes them fine candidates for groups like covens or secret societies where the power is intensified by the number of those who believe in it.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
While we mostly hear the worst of the worst when it comes to Virgo, this group of people also happens to make up some of the best students around. And that is great news when you happen to be on a search for hidden knowledge.
If a magical operation is in order, it will be Virgo who has the process researched and vetted; Virgo is ritualistic — sometimes, they even go too far. The occult is a field of great interest to Virgo.
5. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
The interest in the occult here is broad range, and starts out with a love of both ritual and costume, runs through a deep love for the accoutrements and art that accompany a metaphysical setting and a serious desire to be involved in something mysterious and unknowable.
Sagittarius is the one to arrive wearing the hooded cloak, and they may even get a laugh for it. But in truth, they are dead serious about their beliefs, and the path of the occult seems to offer sufficient enough freedom to entice the freedom-loving Sagittarius.
6. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
While these folks tend to gravitate more towards the stealthy standards where it comes to religion, belief or affiliation, Capricorn has that dark side to them that will surprise you time and time again. The thing is, Capricorn, like Aries, likes control, and it has often be said that control is a thing that can be aided when done right.
And in this case, "right" means casting the right success spell. Capricorn has never turned their back on an opportunity for gain, even if it takes the wave of a magic wand to get there.
