Shocking Before/After Shaun Weiss Mugshot Photo Reveals Just How Much 'The Mighty Ducks' Star Has Changed
He's been sober for the last few weeks.
There comes a time in our lives when we have to accept that the actors from our favorite movies might become washed up. And such is the case with Shaun Weiss, known for his role as Greg Goldberg in The Mighty Ducks. Weiss was also known for guest starring in Freaks & Geeks, and was featured in ads for Pizza Hut, Kraft, Captain Morgan, and Verizon.
And now, he can add before/after Shaun Weiss mugshot to his resume, because the actor was recently arrested for public intoxication in Oroville, CA.
In the early morning of August 3, Weiss was found by police hanging around a closed business complex with three other individuals. He was allegedly high on drugs and alcohol.
According to police Lt. Chris Nicodemus, the officers suspected they were under the influence after acting strangely with a flashlight, flashing it in his own face. He was held in jail for a few hours, giving him time to sober up, and was released without charges. Nicodemus says this is “routine” for people picked up on public intoxication.
While many who are arrested for public intoxication can be combative, officers said that Weiss was anything but, and was “witty” and entertaining with his humor. Well, that’s one way to handle an arrest, I suppose.
According to sources close to the actor, Weiss had been sober for weeks and was trying to clean himself up. He was “staying with his sister near Sacramento. He was eager to get back to doing comedy shows. He was motivated to make money and work,” a source revealed.
This also isn’t Weiss’s first time having trouble with the law. About a year ago, in early August 2017, he was arrested for possession of meth, which came only five days after he was sentenced to 150 days in prison for stealing less than $200 worth of electronic goods. He ended up serving only 12 days, due to overcrowding.
When he was arrested for methamphetamine, officers found him wandering around a property near Warner Bros. Studios and set his bail at $10,000. Law enforcement say they also found stolen credit cards in his possession. He was sentenced to 90 days in county jail.
While being arrested for public intoxication isn’t out of the ordinary, we just hope that Weiss can get his act together, especially since sources say he was trying to stay sober. For his health and his career, maybe this will be a wake-up call for the troubled actor.
