Aaron Hernandez' Fiancé Announced She Is Pregnant Only 13 Months After His Suicide – Who Is The Father?
He hung himself after he was convicted of murder.
Instagram / Getty Aaron Hernandez’s former fiancé announced she is pregnant only 13 months after he hung himself in a prison cell.
The former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murderer proposed to Shayanna Jenkins in 2012 and the two had a daughter together before he tragically committed suicide last April.
Now, just a year after his death, Jenkins told the world she is pregnant via Instagram.
“Many of you have had speculated that I may be expecting another miracle with is very accurate,” she captioned an Instagram photo showing off her baby bump in a sheer white dress on May 22. “I wanted to take time and process and post when I was ready to. I wanted to have a moment for myself alone with my daughter … we are beyond excited about the new addition and chapter we will begin soon.”
Although Jenkins didn’t name the father in her post she definitely made it clear she is excited to expand her family.
“I couldn’t be a luckier woman to have such a perfect little girl that’s prepared to become the best big sister , and even more blessed to welcome another babygirl to our home,” Jenkins continued. “BabyG we are very excited to meet you !!! Mommy and sissy will continue to wait patiently for your arrival. I thank everyone for the continued support and appreciate the respect for our privacy that has been shown .”
But who is the father?
If, in fact, Hernandez is Shayanna’s baby daddy, he would have had to freeze his sperm before he was imprisoned in June of 2015 in connection with Odin Lloyd’s death.
Hernandez was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Lloyd in 2015 and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Before he killed himself, Hernandez left a heartfelt suicide note for his fiancé.
“You have always been my soul-mate and I want you to love life and know I’m always with you,” he reportedly wrote, according to TMZ. “I told you what was coming indirectly! …I love you so much and know you are an angel.”
The soon-to-be mother of two hasn’t hinted that she moved on from her former fiancé.
On April 19, the one-year anniversary of Hernandez’s death, Jenkins posted a loving message about how she still missed him and was thankful for the time they spent together.
“A year today..... I remember getting a call saying you had passed…” she wrote. “I’ve suffered hurt , sadness and definitely anger BUT I’ve had this little girl to make my spirits higher . Although , I hurt today and continue to figure this thing called ' life ' out ... we will celebrate your life with love , joy and happiness .”
Jenkins has not posted anything about another man in her life so it may be possible her deceased fiancé is the father.
Instead, her Instagram is filled with photos and videos of their 5-year-old daughter, Avielle Hernandez, who will soon be a big sister regardless of the new baby’s father.
