If The Faces Of Disney Princesses Were Actually Realistic-Looking
These edited photos show just how far they stretch that Disney "magic."
When we talk about Disney and its portrayal of girls and women's bodies, we tend to talk about their body types. Almost of them have unrealistically small waists, but that's not all they tend to morph.
They draw their faces unrealistically , too.
Say what? Yes, that might sound weird because all of them have two eyes, two ears, a nose, and a mouth. But if you follow the normal proportions of a face of real a human, things just don't add up.
Tumblr user, TheNamelessDoll brought this to light by making more realistic faces for our favorite Disney princesses Elsa, Rapunzel, Merida, and Anna.
"These edits were created simply to give me a chance to practice my manipulation/anatomy skills. Nothing more, nothing less. They are NOT meant to be 'better than the original' or 'what it should have looked like,' or serve as a general negative critic on the respective movies' animation styles," writes the blogger on all of her posts.
Here are the princesses she's done so far:
1. Rapunzel from Tangled
2. Merida from Brave
3. Anna from Frozen
4. Elsa from Frozen

It's great that people continually to think critically about Disney, since many young girls get important messages from their movies, including how they are supposed to look.
We think the realistic faces look just as beautiful.
